Welcome to the Cloud Machine Podcast! Your backstage pass to the creative industry, brought to you by Eights Creative, the agency redefining live performance. Your host, Mat Landry, is currently on tour right now with The Beaches. And so we decided that we would do something a bit different, and show some highlights from two previous episodes from November 2023, where Mat Interviewed The Beaches during their first major headline tour in Canada.
At the release of this episode, The Beaches are currently on their last tour of the year in the States, so we thought this would be a great moment to look back. In this first clip, The Beaches share their transition to independence after being dropped by a label, and reflect on their musical upbringing. In the second clip, the Beaches reflect on the stories behind some of their more overlooked songs, and how TikTok has boosted their popularity and helped them sell out shows. They discuss their excitement in the midst of their tour, and reflect on the success they’ve had so far.
