We also take a nostalgic trip down memory lane looking at old TV ads that depicted the high-stress lives of parents back in the day.

Sky-high student loan debt, soaring education costs, and the struggles of buying a home without help are all on the table. The pressure to succeed, compounded by the need for side gigs, fuels a pervasive sense of burnout. Social media’s unrealistic portrayals of success only add to the stress. We offer practical advice for younger professionals, emphasizing upskilling and financial planning. We wrap up with plans for future episodes and a heartfelt thank you to our listeners, promising more insightful and enjoyable content.

  • Put the Kids to bed because things get weird when The Corporate Pizza Party happens after dark due to some scheduling issues. In this late night session we got a little bit goofy and a little bit unfiltered with some of our opinions we'd like jobseekers to hear. This week it was Mike for a change trying to reign Dan and Farrah in as they got a little raw in regards to upset jobseekers.

We do a lot of talking about ghosting in this episode, but maybe not in the way you expect us to. We all agree ghosting sucks, but so does yelling at people who don't deserve to be yelled at over it. This episode is full of a lot of opinions and rants, and straddles the line of losing some empathy. We promise we still feel for all job seekers, but would also like to help you direct your energy in the right directions when it comes to your job search.

    In this episode:

4:00- Dan hits about every issue we wanted to talk about in one uninterrupted rant

8:30- Farah's plea for jobseekers to take their power back

12:35- If they wanted to- they would

15:50- What should recruiters do if they get ghosted?

21:20- Let's all have empathy for each other
