  • Barstool's 'Frank the Tank' joins the guys on Diggin' Deep!

    Frank takes us back to his baseball roots, growing up in a family full of Yankee fans but falling in love with the Mets and Doc Gooden. In his days before Barstool, Frank worked as a court clerk until one Mets Opening Day an NJ Transit debacle lead to an infamous rant that peaked the interest of Dave Portnoy. Frank explains how his viral rant that aired on the news led to his first opportunity to work at Barstool Sports. From there, he never looked back.

    Through the pain that Hoz brought Frank in the 2015 World Series until now, Frank has been a Mets die hard through and through. He takes us back to his best and worst memories as a fan, and the differences between Shea Stadium and Citi Field. Frank also reveals how long it takes him to get over a Mets loss, and what he deems are the unwritten rules of heckling players.

    Frank has had a budding career at Barstool since the day of his NJ transit rant, making a name for himself through appearances on different shows and the recent success of his own show "Frank Walks."

  • Xavier Scruggs joins the guys on Diggin’ Deep!

    The former Marlin and Cardinal shares his journey from 19th round pick to the big leagues. X had the priviledge of playing with legends of the game like Ichiro and Yadier Molina, and even had Barry Bonds as his hitting coach when he was with the Marlins. Xavier relives some of those stories and talks about what his biggest takeaways were from spending time with those legends.

    When Xavier left the MLB after the 2016 season, he went to play overseas in Korea. X moved to Korea with his wife and they had their son while he they were out there. He takes us through what it was like balancing family life in a foreign country, while also trying to perform to the best of his ability somewhere unfamiliar to him.

    After spending some time overseas, Xavier came back to the US and broke into the baseball media game. He explains how he got into broadcasting and landing his first show on MLB Network. X also shares what its like keep relationships with current players despite his media role, and being the lead color analyst for Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV.

  • Jose Iglesias joins the guys on Diggin' Deep!

    Jose takes us back to his journey to the MLB from humble beginnings in Cuba. With just $500 to his name, Jose was able to make the most of his opportunities and make a major league roster with the Red Sox in 2011. He details the impact that World Series champ Dustin Pedroia had on him as a rookie and the role he played as Jose's mentor.

    In 2013, Jose was traded to the Detroit Tigers where he played with several future Hall of Famers. He made an All-star game and hit over .300 in a lineup with one of the all-time greats, Miguel Cabrera. Jose takes us behind the scenes of what it was like to play with Miggy everyday, and what he learned from his routine.

    Jose has been a journeyman since leaving Detroit, and has had to fight to make several different MLB rosters. He talks about the mental side of not knowing your place, and what it's like to have to fight for a position that isn't guaranteed.

    Now, Jose has finally found his footing with the New York Mets both on and off the field. Jose has been a key addition to a team that's fighting to make the playoffs, and has also brought the vibes. 'OMG' has been a huge hit this summer in New York, and Jose has performed the song multiple times, including after a victory. Jose explains the songs origin story and what his plans are in music once he finishes his baseball career.

    Tom is the founder of Gents Playbook, which outfits over 400+ athletes and celebrities with custom suits. Before his sports fashion business took off, it started as a side hustle. Tom was working a job in corporate finance in New York City, but always had a passion for fashion. He got his start by sourcing some of the best suit materials from England & Italy, perfecting each suits fit, and getting down in the DMs with some of the biggest athletes in the country.

    Once word spread around the sports community of Tom's bespoke & swaggy suits, athletes began to DM him. Tom was DM'd by Travis Kelce because of his connection to Hoz, and Tom made his first ever bomber jacket for the 3-time Super Bowl champ.

From humble beginnings in Australia to the bright lights of Major League Baseball, by way of the World Baseball Classic, Peter Moylan's story is one of resilience, adaptability, and unyielding passion for the game.

    He's a "glue guy". A glue guy is a player on a team who contributes to the team's success in ways that don't always get noticed. They might not score the most points or play the most minutes, but they do the little things, and have a personality, that keep the team together.

    Listeners will hear about Peter's unusual road to the big leagues, that started in 1996 for a short 2 years before being released, and sent back to Australia where he would work as a pool plumber, fabric salesman, security systems salesman, pharmaceutical rep and working countless odd jobs before his remarkable return to professional baseball after a significant hiatus.

    Peter's big break came in 2006 after returning to the mound for the World Baseball Classic, finding his grove with a 96 mph fastball in his sidearm delivery. He would go on to play a 12 year career in MLB which sent him to the Braves, Dodgers, back to the Braves, Royals, then back yet again to the Braves.
