  • Welcome to feminized, today I’m excited chat with The Successful Canna-preneur, JM Balbuena. She’s a San Diego-based author, filmmaker, advocate, and entrepreneur focused on empowering aspiring leaders in the rapidly growing legal cannabis space.

Navy veteran JM was born in the Dominican Republic and came to America at the age of 13. JM received a Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal for her dedicated service as Aviation Electronics Tech in the United States Navy between 2010 to 2014. While serving in the military, JM suffered an accident, and upon leaving the service the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from that accident disrupted JM’s sleeping and eating habits. JM also experienced chronic headaches and back pain. All of which led to anxiety and depression. Thank GOD JM was introduced to cannabis as medicine and credits cannabis with saving her life — helping JM regulate sleep, eating, and managing physical and mental pain.

If you have ever felt like you have barriers to success, tap into JM’s story, it will make you look at your struggles in a different light and inspire you to keep reaching for your dreams despite the odds, TRUST. If you’re in San Diego, visit JAXX CANNABIS and let JM and her team take care of you!

  • Tamara Anderson is Founder of Culinary & Cannabis, an all sensory interactive cannabis event production company. Tamara oversees daily operations and growth for Culinary & Cannabis including online content, marketing, and brand partnerships. A pastry chef, registered nurse, and MMJ patient herself who progressively and knowledgeably understands the complex intersection of medical cannabis and traditional healthcare, Tamara’s focus helps educate folks on total plant use by providing unique experiences for learning and education.

In this episode Tamara goes into what makes Culinary & Cannabis events so special, opens up about how she started an events company with no professional experience! Spoiler alert: She was born to do this and hasn’t looked back. I can’t wait to experience a C&C event in person! If you’re in Southern California, tap in to Culinary & Cannabis, you DESERVE it doll ❤️

  • Today’s guest is powerhouse cannabis advocate, educator, and author Dr Felecia Dawson of Atlanta, Georgia. For 30 years Dr Felecia practiced holistic gynecology and integrative and functional medicine. In fact, Dr Felecia was acknowledged by Essence Magazine as one of the leading female obstetrician gynecologists in the nation! But in 2016 she hung up her stethoscope to focus on cannabis advocacy & education full-time and hasn’t looked back.

I’ve been a big big fan of Dr Felecia’s for a few years now and this will not be her only visit to Feminized podcast, trust me. She’s a nurturing source of truth when it comes to cannabis and a breath of fresh air. She’s currently writing 2 books, Holistic Medicine & Cannabis, and Women’s Health & Cannabis, and once she’s done we’re having a book club, so get to know her now. She’ll quickly become one of your favorite advocates too.

Check in with Dr Felecia here! You can also find her on Clubhouse, Twitter and High at 9 News as she helps us make sense of the top medical stories in cannabis.
