Today on the pod we have wellness and mindset coach, Amanda Katherine Loy, joining us to talk about all things body image! Amanda is so open as she talks about her journey of stepping into her unapologetic self after many years of yo yo dieting and having a negative self-image. Right after turning 27 years old, she found out she was positive for the BRCA1 gene, which greatly increased her likelihood of developing breast cancer. As a preventative measure, she had a double mastectomy. Amanda shares how imperative it was that she had worked for years on developing a positive body image, so she could come at that big transition from a healthy place and bring self-love through all of it.
