Pretty (haunted) in Pink. 1473 St. James Court has long been beloved a Louisville landmark, affectionately known as the Pink Palace. It boasts six bedrooms, an in-ground swimming pool, landscaped garden, double car garage… Oh, and a supernatural security system – a ghost called Mr Avery who alerts you to intruders.

Built for an embittered widow at war with her in-laws in 1905, Carbisdale Castle has served a number of purposes over the years. A Duchess's home, a millionaire's country retreat, a wartime safe-haven for Norwegian Royalty and a Youth Hostel. Given its colourful history, it’s not surprising there are rumours of ghosts... On the market since early 2022, Carbisdale is in need of an owner who can undertake the management of a 64-room castle along with its spectral residents.
