When companies use BurnAlong they see big increases in wellness participation.
“Kaiser Permanente in Maryland had about a 4% engagement rate, which is pretty typical,” says Alex Haschen is BurnAlong’s Head of Wellness Adherence. “After over a year we've increased their engagement to 21%. So increased it by five times. And these are new people using the platform.” -
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) covers minimum wage standards that are so complicated, you need a flowchart to track them.

Some things to remember:
There is a federal minimum hourly wage -- $7.25/hour was established in 2009 and hasn't changed since then Each state can set its own minimum hourly rate -- it can be higher or the same Counties can establish their own minimum rates Some states have laws that make allowances based on the number of employees -
The Family Medical Leave Act works for everybody.
It also confuses a lot of people.
The FMLA protects employees who are dealing with crisis situations in their immediate family from losing their jobs. And it protects employers from having to give PTO to everyone who darkens their door.
The standards are strict, the rules complex, and keeping everyone in compliance is the job of HR experts like Sandy Krauer.

Americans pay the highest health care costs in the world and it only continues to increase, year after year. Our guest today is Douglas Aldeen, a healthcare attorney who’s been practicing for more than 20 years.
In a survey done by Policygenius, only 4% of Americans could correctly define the four healthcare terms that explain how much you personally pay for services and drugs on your insurance plan.
And when a majority of employers rely on “industry experts” to help them make decisions on which plans to purchase, it can be a recipe for disaster. Why don’t these HR professionals make the decision on their own? Well, quite frankly, it’s just too complicated to understand for most.
