There comes a point in life when you realize your parents aren’t perfect. And then, as you get farther down the road, you realize they were far from perfect. The reality is, we don’t leave our family of origin behind when we grow up. We carry it with us. The patterns, the coping mechanisms, the ways we learned (or didn’t learn) to express love, handle conflict, and process emotions—all of it follows us into adulthood, into friendships, into marriage, into parenting.
So, how do we break cycles of dysfunction for generations to come? Check out the episode!

Mark 8 paints a picture of disciples whose spiritual eyes remain closed. Despite witnessing miracles, they are unable to grasp the deeper significance of what Jesus is doing. Their inability to see past the surface of a physical miracle points to a broader truth: while many miracles restore sight to the physically blind, only Jesus can open the spiritual eyes that allow us to recognize His true identity.
In this episode, Whit and Casey examine the way we see—and sometimes fail to see—the work of God in our lives.

We often attempt to shrink God down to a principle or formula—something that promises predictable outcomes and gives us a sense of control. But true faith isn’t about control—it’s about trust in the unknown. Genuine obedience isn’t driven by obligation but by love. When we separate obedience from love, we risk becoming like the older brother in the parable of the prodigal son—outwardly righteous yet inwardly distant from the Father’s heart.
In this episode, Whit and Casey explore Matthew 7, the dangers of legalism and antinomianism, and how to embrace the mystery of our faith.

One of the most striking patterns in Scripture is how Jesus consistently puts His disciples in overwhelming situations—not to discourage them, but to shape them. From the beginning of creation, God has given humans jobs too big to handle on their own. The call to fill and subdue the earth, to shepherd nations, to be His image-bearers—it’s all impossible apart from Him. And yet, in His wisdom, He places us in these roles before we feel fully ready, training us as we go.
In this episode, Whit, Casey, and Blake explore Mark chapter six, on-the-job training in ministry, and what it looks like to truly depend on Jesus in every season and situation.

We live in an age of disenchantment, where the material world is often seen as all there is. Yet deep down, we sense there is more to reality than what we can perceive with our senses.
Scripture affirms this reality, showing that humanity exists between two kingdoms—the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness.
In this episode, Whit and Casey talk Mark 5, the unseen realm, and the purpose of the church.

The question Mark’s gospel invites us to wrestle with is profound: Who is Jesus to you? In Mark 2, Jesus repeatedly places Himself in positions of conflict. He challenges the crowds, confounds the religious leaders, and confronts individuals, forcing them to confront this question and inviting them to trust in faith.
In this episode, Whit Casey look at Mark chapter 2 and what it looks like to truly pursue Jesus.

Mark’s Gospel starts not in a city or a temple but in the wilderness. Why? The wilderness holds deep symbolic significance. John the Baptist steps onto the stage of redemptive history in this barren, solitary place. It’s here, in the midst of the dry and desolate, that God begins His work of renewal.
In our busy lives, we rarely make space for reflection. What could it look like to step back from comforts or distractions to prepare the way for the Lord? In this episode, Whit and Casey dive deep into the first 8 verses of Mark.
