Today, Dalene shares 6 ways to build your faith as a Christian writer.
We tend to bypass God – the source of unlimited strength, wisdom, and nourishment – as we rush to create things that we think will satisfy.
Most of the time, it’s not done intentionally. Often, it’s because we get so wrapped up in the busyness of life that we put Him on the back burner.
And never is this more prevalent than during the Christmas season – the time when we should be placing all our attention on the love of the Father, the grace of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit instead of chasing perishable gifts, overindulging in foods that don’t satisfy, and spending money on things that don’t yield returns.Throughout this Season for Holiness and beyond, may we opt to become like clay in the Potter’s hands and let Him fashion us into the strong, unbreakable, and purposeful vessels He desires us to be.

I also felt compelled to offer it as an email devotional to be sent out six days a week (Monday – Saturday) for three weeks, starting December 1st.
“No one will sign up for it!” I whined to God. “Why put all this work into something no one will have time to read?”
But I decided to step out in obedience and He proved me wrong in a big way. People did sign up.
I offered it again last year as an email offer, but this year, I decided to bring it to the airwaves.
Over the next three weeks, I’ll share one part of the plan here on Ink & Impact. Each part includes six points for consideration.

I got the idea for today's episode after reading an article about how Scholastic, the popular children's book distributor, selects their titles and marketing campaigns.
That got me to thinking about what successful authors do to sell more books, regardless of whether they're traditionally or indie published.
It will probably come as no surprise to you that Scholastic and other successful authors do many of the same things. They may have vastly different budgets and differing levels of name recognition, but the principles they use and the habits they develop are universal and available to any and all authors.
