  • In this minisode, we’re tackling one of the most—if not THE most—overlooked aspects of grieving that I see as a Grief Coach and Educator. I can’t give it away here… you’ll just have to listen in to see what it is!But, I CAN say we’ll dig into an aspect of societal misconceptions about grieving, and of course I’ll offer up some practical tips for coping with prolonged grief. This topic is something about the grieving experience that I’m always (desperately) trying to normalize.A big takeaway today is to encourage you to integrate your loss into your life in the most meaningful, impactful way that works for YOU.

  • One of the biggest struggles we may have to navigate as we’re grieving is insomnia and poor sleep, so let’s talk about it! In this episode, we’re digging into biological impacts of stress and grief on sleep, highlighting the importance of natural sleep solutions, and even zeitgebers. If you don’t know what those are, you will be the end of this episode (and how important they are!). We’ll also talk about balancing parenthood or other responsibilities on top of all of this, and I’ll give you practical, tangible tips and solutions on how to navigate this insomnia or poor sleep that you can put into action right now to improve your overall wellbeing—and the grieving process.

  • The angel day of my dad, Greg Jordan, is coming up on July 13th, so I’m reflecting on the last four years since his death.I wanted to have an open, vulnerable conversation and share some thoughts and feelings that I'm having around approaching this (unfortunate) milestone. I did this last year with my mom on her for your angel day as well, and I think it's so important to take a moment to process and reflect on days like these. So, I’m sharing what I'm feeling and thinking with this day approaching, but also some things I'm reflecting on and things I've learned in the last several years. My goal is for really anyone here listening to glean something from this episode, and take something away from this conversation that you can apply to your grieving and healing journey.Work with me:- 14-Day Relief in Your Grief Challenge: https://lossesbecomegains.com/relief-in-grief- Explore my Intentional Life After Loss membership: https://lossesbecomegains.com/membership- Work with me one-on-one: https://lossesbecomegains.com/work-with-tara

  • “Wife”“Mother”“Father”“Sibling”“Friend”“Cousin”“Boyfriend”“Girlfriend”“Partner”“Dog mom” or “dog dad” … the list goes on. How do you identify? What identity do you feel has changed since you’ve suffered your loss? Has it evolved? Do you still identify as whatever your “title” is? Perhaps not sure yet and trying to figure it out? Maybe figuring out what this new shift in your reality actually means for you now? So relatable, my friend. When we suffer a loss, we’re left to wonder… where does this leave us? What now? For many, sadly, they find themselves asking if they deserve these titles still. In this episode this week, we're digging into that! We'll talk about how to understand the complexities of coping with feeling a loss of identity after you’ve been through a loss, and how this affects the grieving process. • Dr. Sweta Vikram, PhD is a dedicated Doctor of Ayurveda, a globally renowned speaker, and an acclaimed author of 14 best-selling books. The goal of her work is to alleviate stress and elevate the overall quality of her clients' lives through Ayurveda-based health and wellness coaching. She specializes in addressing disordered sleep, anxiety, digestion, appetite, and mood.I was so excited to talk to her more about Ayurveda, specifically, because this practice was a key focus as I was earning my Soul Purpose and Transformational Life Coaching certification.Ayurveda has truly been transformative not only in coping with my grief and improving my overall health and wellbeing, but really in my own journey of finding my soul’s purpose and understanding how to move forward after loss. It led me to some major changes in my life, and I have no doubt it can open that door for you, too.But even more than the Ayurveda piece of this puzzle, we get into so many beautiful topics around loss and navigating life with grief that will leave you uplifted and inspired.
