Pivot is a word that we having been hearing and seeing ALOT since pandora’s box opened in 2020. Life as most of us knew was flipped on its head. We were forced to change and adapt, into a new normal and that can be uncomfortable as hell.
But what about those more private and personal life moments that shake us to our core and require us to level up in ways that we did not necessarily want to? Today is all about pivoting and turning the lemons life throws at you into lemonade. This week I am joined by the formidable Monica Ortega who is the host of the travel show Monica Goes, the podcast Stumbling Forward and she has just published her first book: The Power of Pivoting.

We all have those people (at least we should have), in our lives who make them a little bit better and brighter. What happened as a chance encounter in a hotel in Lucerne, has turned into a lasting friendship. She is truly a genuine spirit and is the embodiment of STRONGER TOGETHER. She appeared in my book as Alexis but in real life, her name is Ana Ledermann. Creator and designer of BOMBOMBIJOUX.
She was curious as to why I invited her on the show,… for me, it was a no-brainer this woman knows her value and adds tax! She knows what she wants and goes after it and she has helped and inspired countless times. Apart from being inspirational, Ana will share the story of how she ended her first marriage and tell us what the consequences are.

Welcome to Season two of Making A Stylish Exit: Confidently Moving On. I missed you guys, it's good to be back. I have some fantastic guests lined up for this season but today I just wanted to let you what I have been thinking about... my musings.
To know me is to know that I am a shoe addict. During my hiatus I celebrated my 44th turn around the sun and have been in a reflective mood and these shoes, or rather the lack of these them popped back into my head. Of course, I was not only thinking about shoes. Naturally, I thought about my life and its purpose, and all the things you ponder as you add another year of experience on this rock we live on. My mind couldn’t help but think about my perpetual state of singleness. I have had some rather close encounters with coupledom, but they were short-lived and far and few in between...

Well, it's a wrap! The first season of Making A Stylish Exit: Confidently Moving On is complete. What a whirlwind it has been. My procrastination levels were at an epic level but after a not so gentle nudge from a friend, I stopped my bullshit excuses and dove in. There was a tremendous learning curve, but that was to be expected...
I can’t help but notice that many of the lessons that I learned while navigating through my divorce could actually be applied to this new adventure and they helped me to remain positive during some of the challenges I faced. It has been an adventure and I truly thank you for coming along for the ride.

Happy 2021!, it’s January so I can still say that… Is it just me or have these last three weeks felt more like three months? Were the holidays really just last month?
2020 was one hell of a year and 2021 seems to have misplaced her act right as well because Miss Rona doesn’t want to let us go so we can be great.
As second and third lockdowns are sweeping across Europe it has me thinking about ways to take care of myself, and love on myself even more. Technically we have entered the Age of Aquarius but it is feeling much more like the Age of Isolation…

This year is almost over and I think it is safe to say that 2020 has been a year like no other... a global pandemic, racial unrest, and riots. On a more personal note with the outbreak of Covid-19 and all the new normals it created has made something that was already difficult nearly impossible; DATING. Let's be honest during a pandemic is not the best time to be meeting new people.
In this week's episode, I am joined by Wes Felton. He is a musician, actor, painter, and activist... a modern-day renaissance man. Wes gives us the male perspective on love, dating, and relationships.
We talk about his role in the movie Love Dot Com: The Social Experiment and he will play one of my favorite tracks from his album Quarantine Love.
* As promised here is the link to Wes's bandcamp.
