Every family has its own special history and shared bonds that are a part of that history. When a sibling dies, the bonds are shattered forever a void that can never be filled. Often when such a loss occurs, the focus of support can be with the parents, the siblings can be forgotten. Surviving siblings are often referred to as the "forgotten mourners". Grief can be incredibly isolating, and there can be great comfort in meeting someone with a shared experience. On today's episode i chat with Keelan Burns, a young man who lost his wife Laura suddenly without any warning. Overnight Keelan became a sole parent to their beautiful son Lorcan who had been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Grief and heartbreaking loss are extremely painful, but as Keelan explains it is important for him to look to the future with positivity.

Today guest is Siobhan Deehan, my mammy, a 59 year old mother of two who has three treasured grandchildren. In February 2015 she lost the love of her life My Daddy at age of 51. She then lost her much loved son in law Burkey, my husband in April 2020 then her life long friend Robert just 6 weeks later.
