  • Two years before his death, Saint John Bosco was visiting Barcelona, Spain. It was a glorious trip full of incredible events, but that's a story for another time. During the night of April 9th, 1886, he received a new vision pertaining to the Salesian Missionary works abroad. He later related this dream to his Salesians in a voice at times choked by sobs. Here’s what he said…

  • In reading the Biographical Memoirs of Saint John Bosco, I've come across many occasions which showed that God gave him a certain amount of power over life and death: always subject to the Divine Will of course. I want to tell you about some of these mind-blowing events in today's episode and most importantly, recount the two times that St. John Bosco raised people from the dead. Up to now I thought he only resurrected one boy named Charles, but to my great astonishment yesterday, I found a second case in the biographical memoirs.

  • In this episode, six knife-wielding orphans challenge the peace of Don Bosco's Oratory, but their arrival is overshadowed by whispers of divine visions and miracles witnessed by the boys. Our saint had to deal with some real tough characters, but the Oratory school was also privileged with saintly boys, beautiful souls who had supernatural messages from God, which they revealed to Don Bosco only.

Saint John Bosco was a jewel in our history, a model of piety and a ferocious warrior against the enemies of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. We’ll attempt to analyze all the facets of his pious life.

Prophet, diplomat, miracle worker, counselor, visionary, devotee of Our Lady, prolific writer, role model for wayward boys, founder of the Salesians, priest, rock of scandal, warrior against heresies…

It all can be summed up by the phrase, “Christianus alter Christus” -- he was Christ-like. He’s the patron saint of apprentices, editors, publishers, schoolchildren, magicians, and wayward children.

An attempt was made by the Salesians to document his daring deeds for Christ, which resulted in 19 large volumes that are the primary source material for our channel. He’s a veritable font of interesting anecdotes and inspiring stories.

The more we learn of and admire the saintly aspects of Don Bosco, the more we’ll be like him in our own lives.

  • Some people believe that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Old Testament were destroyed because of a lack of hospitality. However, Saint John Bosco and actually the whole Catholic Church for the last 2,000 years have agreed that a rain of fire engulfed these cities because of sins of impurity and even worse, a very specific type of impure sin. In today’s episode, I'll recount a sermon in which St. John Bosco shows the gravity of sins against the sixth commandment. The date of the sermon is unclear, but it was probably during a retreat in November of 1843. I've never heard this Old Testament story explained so well and made so applicable to everyday circumstances, nor have I ever heard this great saint speak with so much passion and insistence. I truly believe it's one of his best works.

  • This is the only complete and unabridged version of Saint John Bosco’s vision of hell on YouTube. Become a Promoter of Saint John Bosco: https://saintjohnbosco.net/promoter-of-saint-john-bosco/ In Saint Theresa of Avila’s Poem, No Me Mueves, (I am not moved) she proclaims:“I am not moved, my God, to love Thee by the Heaven Thou hast promised me; nor am I moved by fear of Hell to cease for that reason to offend Thee.Thou art what moves me, Lord; it moves me to see Thee nailed to a cross and scorned…”Saint Theresa of Avila’s words were the highest expression of a disinterested love, for she loved Our Lord ardently without any motivation by personal benefit. However, until we achieve that degree of sanctity, we need to be reminded of the pains of Hell to move us along the path of holiness. This is why hearing about all the horrors in Saint John Bosco’s mystical dream of Hell is a gift from God that we should appreciate and take advantage of. He didn’t have to give us a glimpse of the afterlife but revealed it to Don Bosco because he loves us. Listening to this entire dream should be done calmly and with complete confidence in God, but not forgetting that God is letting you hear this story so you can repent and suffer for your sins in this life rather than burn in the next. 00:00 Introduction01:28 Part 1 - How to Escape the Snares of the Devil10:53 Part 2 - How His Boys Can Avoid Hell20:26 Part 3 – Entering Hell36:10 Part 4 – Don Bosco’s Hand is Seared Walls of Hell45:19 Consoling Words
