Everyone in the world is waiting patiently for November 2024. It will go down in history as one of the most historically significant events. We have waited with breath that is baited. Are we talking about the election? Of course not. We are talking about the theatrical release of "Gladiator 2" obviously! Vanity Fair was kind enough to wet our whistles and other parts of our bodies by releasing a few photos from the "Gladiator 2" set and needless to say, Sloane is unwell. All she has ever wanted to see is Pedro in a leather skirt covered in mud and bodily fluids. Today, July 1, 2024, her prayers were finally answered. Tune in to listen to two very mentally unstable people gush over biceps, leg hair, leather and the curls of a 50 year old Chilean man on this special mini episode of Mummy Dearest Podcast!

We're so f**king back! This week Zach and Sloane bring you the 1960's musical? comedy? "That Thing You Do!" It was written and directed by Tom Hanks, the man Zach believes is responsible for the Covid mask mandate. Aside from conspiracy theories, Zach and Sloane also discuss what Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson would serve for a casual outdoor dinner with friends. Zach asks Sloane about her best day-to-night rockabilly fashions and Sloane tells Zach how much she enjoys the taste of envelopes because she wasn't allowed dessert as a child. This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast Zach and Sloane unwrap 1999's bullet bending sci-fi latex coated fight fest: "The Matrix". The duo discuss which pill they'd take (blue, duh, they don't want to know anything!) and find out Laurence Fishburne and Sloane are the exact same age. Zach and Sloane also talk about the lime green color of almost all 90s clothing, listening to Prodigy coded music while using a family computer and telling all their secrets to the very first A.I. device: AOL's Smarter Child. This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast Zach and Sloane unwrap the 1996 romance/sports/comedy film Jerry Maguire. This movie took the world by storm in 1996. It had everyone yelling "Show me the money!" and saying "You complete me" to their significant others. Now almost 30 years later it is taking Zach and Sloane by storm once again. In this episode you'll hear the duo explain the very specific nostalgic feeling the song Secret Garden by Bruce Springsteen gives them, you'll hear Zach and Sloane's google search history, they make a wild proclamation about Tom Cruise, and agree that everyone needs a Subway deli counter in their kitchen. Well everyone, we thought that our three year anniversary was a great time to revisit the sequel to The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns! We love you with all of our hearts and we hope you enjoy this episode where we unwrap part of a very special franchise to us. In this episode we hear from Sloane's son, Rex. The 7 year old film bro gives his opinions on the bad CGI and, in his opinion, lack of fighting. Zach and Sloane also delve back into what got them here in the first place; the in-your-face bisexuality of this masterpiece, and plenty of tangents to spare. All that and so much more in this episode of Mummy Dearest!

This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast Zach and Sloane unwrap the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, Furious 7! In this episode Sloane asks a gobsmacking amount of plot questions, we revisit the disaster of trying to podcast about the first movie, we both come to the conclusion that See You Again is a top tier ballad after hearing a beautiful story about Sloane's experience with the song, and Zach gets choked up discussing the final scene. Let us know if we should go through the entire franchise!

This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast Zach and Sloane unwrap the 2001 threequel, Jurassic Park III. In this episode the podcasting duo discuss their own divorced dad vacations, the will they/won't they between the early 2000's action/adventure power couple William H. "Paper Skin" Macy and Téa Leoni, the similarities between the missing boy in the movie and Sloane's smoke bomb wielding child, Laura Dern's hip hugging bootcut jeans and so much more on this week's episode of Mummy Dearest!

This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast Zach and Sloane are joined by writer Kirthana Ramisetti for an unwrapping of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind that turns into a discussion about Real Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, and Summer House.
This is Zach's first time seeing this movie and there was definitely a sound reason he avoided it all these years. We all know how a manic pixie dream girl in a 2000's film freaks him out.
Kirthana brings a refreshing and calming presence to the discussion and brilliantly ties both Bravo and Eternal Sunshine together.

This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast Zach and Sloane unwrap the 2007 action/thriller/Christian propaganda film, The Mist. In this episode Zach and Sloane discuss the pivotal roles they would play in an alien apocalypse survival situation using Taki's and Snapchat filters, the matching grease burns both of their moms got on major religious holidays, and their appreciation for Thomas Jane's bristly chest while discussing whether he actually is Hung (HBO, 2009) or not. This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast, Zach and Sloane are joined by the leader of the hot girl army: fan favorite Hannah Brown! The trio discuss 1991's horny big tit chicken classic: "Rock-a-Doodle"! Sloane had never laid eyes on this film and she was pretty disturbed by what she bore witness to. Zach and Hannah were both adamant that it's a solid film and deserves a place in the kid movie hall of fame. Hannah even admits this is the third podcast she's been on where she's discussed her love of barnyard crooner Chanticleer. Hannah and Zach do their best to explain the plot of this film to Sloane but she never really gets it. Enjoy this blast from the past on this week's episode of Mummy Dearest Podcast!

This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast, Zach and Sloane unwrap the 2005 sci-fi / military propaganda film: War of the Worlds. Before they get into the European terrorism of it all Sloane shares an equally disturbing anecdote from Zach's most hated location on earth: Sloane's child's elementary school. After a phallic detour the duo go balls deep into the plot of War of the Worlds and declare Steven Spielberg "one to watch" in 2024. This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast we're unwrapping the romantic comedy / single white female thriller: Obsessed! This movie is a nostalgic ride from start to finish. Queen Beyoncé quite literally wipes the floor (and coffee table) with Ali Larter, but who can blame Ali? Idris Elba plays Ali's boss and you, too, would be throwing yourself at that man left, right and center. Zach and Sloane stay on-topic for the majority of this film because there was so much to discuss: villainous gay office friends, James Perse pale yellow safari shirts, skinny jeans, unnecessary belts, tiny vests, and platform peep toe Louboutin wedges. It truly is a time capsule of 2000's fashion and passion. All that and so much more on this week's episode of Mummy Dearest Podcast!

This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast they're going back to the decade that triggers Zach the most: the 80's. And we're covering Sloane's favorite movie of all time (other than "The Mummy" of course): The Princess Bride! It's a swashbuckling good time on this slumber party episode, full of tropes (lightning quick sand!), things that should have been edited out and weren't (Sloane!), and so much more. This week on Mummy Dearest Podcast, Zach and Sloane unwrap 1998's romantic mystical fantasy film: City of Angels. This movie has it all: Nicolas Cage as an angel named Seth, Dennis Franz body surfing nude, dumpster babies, and a young Nick Offerman. It's a film that could not and would not be made in 2024. It's too wacky, too silly, and too heartfelt. Grab a pear, say a prayer and tune in to this week's episode of Mummy Dearest Podcast!

This week Zach and Sloane are joined by none other than Luke Harlan, producer, of The Gilded Age. Luke works directly with Julian Fellowes, writer and creator of The Gilded Age and Downton Abbey, to ensure that not only our historical accuracy needs are met but also our horny ones. Luke delivers a most magical and heart warming interview where he tells tales of on-set hijinks, a personal story that will knock your socks off, and his hopes and dreams (that he's legally allowed to tell us) for season 3 of HBO's The Gilded Age.

We're baaaaaack! And we're here with 2004's action/horror/rom-com(?): "Van Helsing". There is much to unpack this week. Namely Hugh Jackman's wardrobe in this film. At one point we counted over 14 buckles on his top half alone! That's a serious commitment to being buckled. We also touch on topics like: post partum depression, accidentally microwaving a child, exploding vampiric children, hookah lounges, hair accessories and Josie Maran! This week on Mummy Dearest , we unwrap the season 2 finale of the greatest show of all time: The Gilded Age. The finale was a perfect bow on top of a beautiful gift of a season. It had everything we've come to love and expect from The Gilded Age: Duke drama, fake friendships, Nathan Lane's southern accent, crossing the street, and Agnes being angry. What we didn't expect was a caked up George Russell sauntering around his office with skin tight clothes. Nor did we expect where the Duke ended up on the opening night of the Met and the Academy! It was a riveting finale and we unpack it all on this week's episode of Mummy Dearest!

This week we're unwrapping the penultimate episode of season 2 of "The Gilded Age". Our time has almost come to an end and we are as upset as a Duke eating a potentially spicy soup. This week gave us all the things we've come to love about "The Gilded Age": back cancer, floral arrangements, luncheon, 5 minutes of CGI fireworks, Bertha and George in their bedroom, scams, and another sister hug between Agnes and Ada. There are so many things unfolding with only one episode left! Will Marian marry cousin Douche-elle? Will Agnes leave the house? Will Maud Beaton be brought to justice? Will Bertha wear a gorgeous dress to the opening of the MET? I think we're safe to bet all the Van Rhijn money on that one. All that and so much more on this week's episode of Mummy Dearest!
