In this episode, I'm talking to Leona Holzbecher again. After the last episode with her where we talked about different generations in BPM and the New Process Conference where she was one of the speakers, it was clear to me that I had to invite her back for the New Process Podcast.As a psychologist, Leona knows best about the human-centric approach and how a deeper understanding of our emotional responses to processes can help us manage them better.
We look at the 4 basic human needs that we need to trigger.

Leona HolzbecherLeona is a psychologist and systemic coach. She started her own business "Leona Holzbecher Consulting" to coach companies and people to rethink their why from a psychological perspective in 2024.
She has a lot of experience in change management in a large corporation. Leona holds a Master's degree in Psychology and has completed trainings in System Intervention and Organizational Development and Transformation.
You may know her from the other episode about different generations (EP48) and from the New Process Conference where she talked about the psychological aspect in the context of BPM.

Carsten is CEO of Modell Aachen. Modell Aachen is the maker of the BPM tool Q.Wiki which I already took a closer look at in episode 19. Carsten co-founded Modell Aachen in 2009 and today, they serve more than 1,400 customers worldwide.Carsten holds a Diploma in mechanical engineering from Ruhr University Bochum and a PhD from RWTH Aachen University.
Besides leading Modell Aachen, he also supports the German Association for Quality in various roles.
Carsten lives in Wuppertal together with his wife and two kids.

Martin HollingMartin is one of the New Process Podcast listeners who have listened to every single episode and he is a real BPM enthusiast. He has been working for Siemens in various Process Management positions in Siemens’ Energy sector for nearly 20 years. During that time, he developed and implemented a BPM framework that covered a lot of the New Process Principles.
After leaving Siemens, he worked as a Senior BPM Consultant for four years. Today, he is Head of Process Management at KEMNA BAU, one of the largest road construction companies and street infrastructure providers in Germany.
In parallel, he is offering his experience as a self-employed management consultant at living-processes.de.
As much as time besides work and his family – he is married and has 3 daughters – allows, he is singing in a local choir and restoring a classic car together with his brother.

Martin Hochreiter and Tobias ZucaliMartin and Tobias founded mkrz lab in 2023. mkrz lab is located in the Tabakfabrik Linz, Austria. Their mission is to get “From doing to thinking”. With mkrz lab, they also founded a hand workshop as a “making is thinking lab”, which is also named “Alternative lab for Future Skills”.
Before founding Makers Lab, Martin worked in medical informatics and automation business in various leading positions at KEBA Group. He studied Information Systems at Kepler University of Linz and is an active maker since he graduated from mechanical engineering high school.
Tobias — before founding mkrz lab — was CTO at Impact AI for about three years. Before this, he worked as UX Designer and UI Developer for various companies. He studied interior design and media art, and learned programming as an autodidact during high school. Since then, he has been involved with IT, especially in combination it with other disciplines.

In this episode, I’m talking to Lars Müller. Lars is one of the most advanced and well-experienced Process Architects I have ever met.He shares the journey of Lufthansa Technik's procurement processes and how they have evolved over the years.
They have built up a team of ten process architects over the past few years with a human-centric approach.

Lars MüllerLars has been Process and Project Manager at Lufthansa Technik since 2015.
In this position, he takes over the role of a Process Architect for the procurement processes of Lufthansa Technik Group. Together with his fellow Process Architects, he manages and improves all the procurement processes and moderates a community of more than 1000 people worldwide.
Lufthansa Technik, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, is the maintenance, repair, and overhaul business unit of the Lufthansa Group. More than 20,000 employees of Lufthansa Technik and its subsidiaries serve over 800 customers worldwide with more than 4,200 aircraft under exclusive contracts.
Before joining Lufthansa Technik, Lars worked as Quality and Process Manager for Akka Technologies.
Lars holds a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Applied Sciences Kiel and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Applied Sciences Lübeck.
Together with his family, Lars lives in Oststeinbek near Hamburg.

Carolin JungeCaro is founder and CEO of “oh boy!”. oh boy! is a branding company with a focus on brand identity and how to bring it to life. With storytelling and cool ideas for every touchpoint, they make corporate, personal, and employer brands more exciting.
Before founding oh boy!, Caro worked at Etengo as Team Leader Marketing with a focus on how to develop positioning and brand strategy. Before that, she worked as Head of Marketing & Sales for a fashion start-up with a focus on B2B brand positioning, and she established the brand in the German retail market in 600 stores such as KaDeWe and Galerie Lafayette.
She studied Music and Creative Industries at Popakademie Baden-Württemberg
Caro also completed a training as a grief coach and plans to revolutionize the German grief culture.

In this episode, I’m looking back on 2023 and provide an outlook on the top topics for the year 2024.Therefore, I’m not only sharing the results of the New Process Survey with your topics for 2024, I’m also exploring the topics of a number of BPM thought leaders. To do this, I asked them for their recommendations, which topics the New Process Community should focus on in 2024.
Finally, I provide my own outlook to 2024 and share with you, what I’m planning to work on to rethink processes and to find new ways to inspire people for processes.
