Once a spear fisherman and always finding deep relaxation in the sea Dean Chipolina became a champion free diver. His absolute passion, apart from his partner Eisve, is diving and plunging into unimaginable depths to find his happy place. You might think what he does is very dangerous but Dean explains how safe it is, what happens physiologically as your diving while holding your breath and how incredibly serene life is when you are 100 meters down a black hole. Might seem eccentric to you but as he and Eisve explain the worst thing about it is the huge sewage problem we have in Gibraltar and how 40 meters down in a certain area off Europa point everything is bleached from the detergents poured down our drains and toilets and covered in wipes and spoiling our beautiful coastline. Listen to this fascinating insight into the world of free diving. This podcast supports the Nautilus Project.
