In this conversation, my friend Gus from Triad of the Force and I discuss our thoughts on various Star Wars shows, including The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Andor. We explore the idea of storytelling in shorter episodes and seasons, and how it affects the overall narrative. We also touch on the importance of catering to different types of fans and the challenges of balancing fan expectations with creative choices. The conversation covers various topics related to Star Wars and fandom. We discuss the structure and pacing of shows, the importance of flashbacks, and the need for emotional twists rather than plot twists. Fortunately or unfortunately we also touch on the toxic nature of fandom and the entitlement some fans feel towards the franchise. Finally we express our appreciation for the uniqueness and unapologetic nature of 'The Acolyte' and the importance of taking risks in storytelling. The conversation highlights the need for open and respectful discussions within fandom and the dangers of relying on social media for information.

In this episode of Pink Milk, we discuss episode 5 of The Acolyte called 'Night'. We talk about the violence in the episode, is it too violent? Our son Michael, certainly seems to think so. We also talk about the humor of the Nameless One, was that too much? If it was do his hot arms allow for forgiveness? We also discuss the switcheroo between Osha and Mae, and the possibility of a flashback to reveal the truth of their past. Finally, we speculate on the future of the characters and the show!

Hello, we're back! Deep Dive into Star Wars: The Acolyte Episode 2 - Revenge/Justice | Toxic Fandom & Queer Lens
In this episode, we deep dive into Episode 2 of Star Wars: The Acolyte - Revenge/Justice. Join us as we discuss our new views on how we plan to interact with the toxic side of fandom. We address navigating those most disgusting statements and comments head-on.
We are thrilled to announce that we’re unapologetically making content for the queer community. While we welcome everyone at our table, our focus is on creating queer content specifically for our LGBTQ+ audience.
WE’re super excited to continue our discussion on viewing the Jedi through a queer lens. We delve into fascinating conversations about how the Jedi seek peace in the galaxy, but similar to many churches, they seek the peace they determine is acceptable. We discuss how the 'villains' in this series use everyday citizens to help discover the Jedi, highlighting the beginning of undermining the ‘Dream’ the Sith Lord mentions in the premiere episode.
Additionally, we analyze the conversation towards the end of this episode between Sol and Vern, where they disagree on taking action or engaging in meaningful discussion. What would you do - take action or discuss?
Tune into this VERY Pink Milk episode where we connect the amazing storytelling of The Acolyte to today's social issues, from Roe v. Wade to the current challenges facing our trans siblings in the LGBTQ+ community and what the future may hold for us all.
Thank you for tuning in! Please help us spread the word by sharing this episode with friends, leaving us a review on Apple Podcasts, and liking and commenting on this episode on YouTube!

Tom and I sit down to discuss the climax of this series with episodes 6 “Far, Far Away” and “Dreams and Madness” where we discuss a whole host of things ranging from Dave Filoni’s obviously found influence in Blade Runner 2049 to more hot daddy talk. We get into the interconnection of Star Wars storytelling and if it’s cameos are good for the average fan. Tom realizes that Shin and Sabine have a definite thing for one another and is there too much Pedro Pascal?

We sat down to watch the TWO best episodes of Ahsoka: “Fallen Jedi” and “Shadow Warrior”! Ahsoka and crew find themselves on the edge of a cliff and at the edge of the galaxy - literally. This show absolutely takes off in these episodes! In this episode we talk about how EXTRA these characters are. Babylon Skull is a total Daddy Bear and we love him for it. We discuss the episodes as well as “streaming” as a new medium of storytelling and if we’ve got it totally figured out. Bryan is called out about a bad attitude and embracing Star Wars without George Lucas. We decide that we’re the GAYEST Star Wars podcast there is! Thank you as always for listening and DRINK UP!

Ahsoka Episode 3 “Time to Fly” is here and we’re rewatching it! We’re three episodes into our rewatch of the Disney Plus Star Wars show Ahsoka. It’s got us thinking…should these Star Wars Television shows be binged or watched week to week? We need to talk about Ashoka’s treatment of Huyang…dude deserves more respect from Snips! Also, what about Ai in real life is it a good thing? Then we need to get into Mon Mothma’s bad hair. Do we want more politics in Star Wars and has there really been anything visually iconic since Disney took over Star Wars? It’s time to listen to your two favorite gays dish on all things in our galaxy far, far away…let’s DRINK UP!
Let us know in the comments below what iconic visual things Disney has introduced to Star Wars?

Ahsoka Episode 2 “Toil & Trouble” is a powerhouse of an episode in no short part to director Steph Green - can she just have Star Wars now? Now, that’s not what this episode title is referring to but between her and Bryce Dallas Howard maybe it should? Today we sit back for our rewatch of Ahsoka in the second episode of her solo series. We reflect on just how stupid social media can be in its critiques of media before said media is even released, in this case…Sabine’s long hair. Thanks a lot internet…we got stuck with old lady hair! We discuss important issues like what her short hair could have been, the importance of age/wisdom in a mentor and, why can’t we just get more night-sisters! This episode isn’t safe for your kids ears…that’s probably implied in the title though!

Today we are talking about “Master and Apprentice” Episode 1 of The Ahsoka Series. The solo series in either live action or animation for one of the most popular characters in all of the Star Wars franchise! Ahsoka has been a beloved character for nearly two decades but she’s just now coming into her own among the casual fan base. How did the first episode of this show hold up if you’ve never seen Star Wars Rebels and have no idea who Grand Admiral Thrawn or Sabine Wren is? What in the world is up with Hera Syndulla’s red lip?
We discuss all of this plus - is Star Wars taking inspiration from Netflix? Is it taking the best from the streaming service or is it taking the worst of Netflix’s live action anime series?
As always, thank you for listening to these gays talking Star Wars and Drink Up!

The rumors that Disney and Lucasfilm may be looking into creating a Star Wars "What If...?" series has both the internet talking and but it also has Tom and Bryan talking as well. The two husbands sit down and discuss if this sounds like a good idea or not and what it means for "Star Wars?" Does it mean that Star Wars maybe isn't as special as it once was? Is it becoming just another franchise like the MCU has become? Is that ok? Star Wars Visions Vol. 2 is OUT NOW and the world is better for it! I am personally so happy to share my love of Visions with all of you. The first volume introduced us to new takes on Star Wars and with Volume 2 we continue that experience. Where last time our shorts all came from Japan this go round the studios come from all over the world and the artistry has NEVER been greater! This volume of Visions was so good that it's changed the podcast forever!
