It’s time for India’s philanthropy sector to step down from its pedestal, stop hiding behind lofty jargon, and have a frank conversation about what’s really working, and more importantly what’s not. After dedicating twenty years to the philanthropy sector, Deval Sanghavi, co-Founder of Dasra, is now on a mission to hold a mirror up to the country’s philanthropy sector and examine why even after so much innovation and investment, the inequality gap in India is ever widening.

In India’s vibrant and active social sector, many organizations imagine a different future, plan and implement social interventions at different scales. Many of these have a lasting impact on the lives of people and society. However, their efforts and, more importantly, the learning from these initiatives, remain largely unknown. The ‘Stories of Change’ books, an initiative of Azim Premji University, documents these good practices of social change with a focus on reflection and learning, including capturing their limitations.
Radio Azim Premji University takes you into this world of changes with a series of audio stories hosted by Anuradha Nagaraj, faculty at the School of Development at Azim Premji University.
