  • One of the most important parts of making sales is having conversations and pitching ourselves and our products to potential clients, so it’s necessary to make sure that our words and phrases are reflecting us in an ideal light. There are many common phrases that you might use right now in your sales calls that I would love for you to absolutely quit saying immediately if you want to grow your sales.

    Some of theses phrases are:

    Can I pick your brain for a minute?

    “What you say really allows the other person to hear you from a different way and we want you to make sure that you’re always showing up as an expert, we want to make sure you’re always showing up as an authority, and we want to makes sure that you’re always showing up as someone who is, I don’t want to say higher than them, but definitely not coming down to chase anybody. A lot of the time the words in which we use in our sales conversations, actually have us chasing and in a needy energy, and we absolutely want to try and shift that right away.”

    “We want to make sure that we’re bringing in the right people to the sales funnel, and at the top of the sales funnel is leads. No matter where you are in your business, if you’ve never sold a client or you are an eight figure business, leads are still the most important thing you need in your business at all times. Then in the center, there is this place that is nurturing and right now what is happening is you are nurturing people. If you're nurturing people in this circle, but they aren’t the right people, we’re actually wasting time, energy, money, resources, and all these other things, because after nurture comes the buy. If the people in the nurture funnel are not the right people, they are never going to come down to buy.”

And so I would make a list of the blessings of the business, so for example, the first time that I was able to go to the grocery store and swipe my debit card and not have to count up everything in my cart before I checked out to make sure I didn’t overdraft the account I skipped out of the grocery store. I was so excited, and I snapped a selfie of myself with my groceries in the trunk of the car and I turned that into a social media post, and it was one of those moments where that was such a blessing in my life.”

    “We’re in a world of social media where everything is fake, but people think that all of these highlight reels that your getting of someone’s life, is their life, because people get to choose what they show you. So what I always say is, imagine a world where we all just showed up exactly how we are and we were okay with people accepting us in that sense versus trying to do these trends, and trying to use all these filters, or trying to do all this stuff. If you just show up 100% yourself, number one you’ll be very proud of yourself in the end, and number two it’s like you’re pulling back the curtain to let people get to know you on a whole different level. That right there is your secret sauce, it is you.”

I want you to enjoy it, but I want you to enjoy it in a manner that makes sense in your lifestyle. I don’t want you to spend like a Khardasian, and what I find is that you do need to celebrate, but keep it within a limit. Is a hundred thousand dollar car worth celebrating when you made your first ten thousand dollar month? No, but it is worth celebrating to say I’m going to treat myself.”

  • I am absolutely pumped today to talk about the most important part of sales, your close.

    We all know what it’s like to be chatting and connecting with a potential client, but you just can’t seem to get them to pull their card out and start buying. If this sounds familiar, then get ready to take some notes and find out what you need to be asking and doing to get tangible closing results!

    “I was on a sales call the other day, and I asked this specific question. I said, “Tell me what is currently happening in the business right now?” And this was so important because they shared everything and by sharing everything that they are currently doing in their situation, I can also ask better questions. So I always say when it comes to sales, the better you ask the questions the better answers you’re going to get, which then feeds into better questions on the flip side. So again it’s really all about this game that you’re playing back and forth about questions and answers, and how you can, at the end of the day, absolutely help somebody”

  • 3 messages for you today: I’m giving you permission to take massive action in your business.

    First, I’m giving you permission to show up messy. Actually, what I want to say is, “Please show up messy.” You’ll hear a little background noise in the episode today because I’m outside walking my dog. I’m fine. You’re fine. It’s fine. Keep that in mind when you’re hard at work in your business.

    Second, you don’t have to be on all of the platforms. Focus on the place that is working for you.

    Third, whatever task you dread in your business, it’s OK to let it go. If you don’t like something in your business, quit doing it.

    That’s why I told my client to quit, and I hope she does.

    “You don’t have to be on all of the platforms. I know every single day people tell me, “Oh you’re leaving so much money on the table on Linkedin.” OK. I’m going to leave money on the table at Linkedin, because I know what already works. I know that posting on Instagram works. I know that converting in the DMs works.”

    “What are you doing in your business that absolutely sucks, that you hate? Maybe you hate posting on Instagram. Maybe you hate posting on TikTok. Maybe you hate creating Canva reels. I want you to ask yourself, ‘What would happen if that went away? If I gave you full 1000% permission to just quit doing that thing?’”

  • I am so excited to be joining you all on this beautiful day, as I celebrate Saint Patrick’s day and discuss all things lead generation!

    Lead generation is super important in our business, and while it’s something that we all say we want and need to do, it often does not happen. Lead generation may not be the sexiest part of running our business but that doesn’t make it any less important!

    I don’t know about you, but when I start adding up my outreach, it's mind blowing to me how many leads I actually have in my current world. I don’t always need to find new ones, I just actually need to spend time on the ones I already have.

    There are lots of questions and reflecting I want you to do today, so grab your pen and paper and answer these questions:

    Where can you go right now where you can borrow other people’s audiences?

    How many people are collectively following you?

    Where are your leads coming from?

    Now, your homework for today’s episode is to get very clear as to where your leads are coming from and focus on that for 30 days. If you do this, your business will surely skyrocket!

    Sadly, for most women a big part of entrepreneurship is hustle culture and the pressure to always keep going and pushing for more things. This often leads to poor hustle habits and varying levels of being over and under energized or money-anxious.

    So how do we stop these bad habits and be at peace when working?

    The nervous system and neuron science are great tools for removing our anxious money and finding a better way to run our business without burnout or exhaustion. It’s not impossible to run a successful and sustainable business without all of the unnecessary stress and anxiety.

    “If you’re not spending more and more time where you feel peace and you’re constantly living in this looking around, hypervigilance, talking fast state, it’s not sustainable and I’ve seen every single women that's been in that state who has made that kind of money and that’s constantly anxious, hit some level of burnout or have to slow down their business at some point of their journey.”

  • You know I'm thinking about sales 24/7, but even at the cardiologist?

    Yes!

    Today the nurse was showing me a new heart monitor that I would have to wear for 30 days.

    She was explaining to me that it's old, inconvenient, bulky, and awkward. She went on to describe how much of a pain it would be to deal with and all of the situations where I would really get annoyed.

    She wasn't selling me on it AT ALL...

    Except for one thing: She said that this monitor works better than any of the other fancy, new, high-tech monitors.

    That's all I needed to hear.

    "I tell my clients all of the time, 'It's not going to be sexy. It's not going to be flashy like all of the things that you're seeing on social media. It's going to be hard. You're going to cry. You're going to want to through in the towel over the next 30 days.'"

    I recently got a comment in my DMs that I feel reflects what many entrepreneurs believe, but just simply isn’t true. The commenter said that they didn’t need a coach, because they already have one. This belief, while common, is completely untrue! We should be seeking out experts in each individual space to get the best coaching we can.

    “When you seek out experts in each individual space, you actually get better results. Instead of hiring a generalist or hiring a specialist and getting annoyed with them that they aren’t meeting all of your needs”

    The question I want you to ask yourself today is: What are the three skill sets right now that you absolutely know if you could nail them down, you’d be a better business owner? Then, I want you to go out and find those people to help you out!

    To help community-building feel clean, adopt the perspective that you are bringing potential buyers together. You are giving them value in exchange.

    The issue that people have with community is that they can't make sales among so many people who see them as peers. Don't show up as a peer. Show up as the expert in your communities.

  • So excited to bring this topic to you today. I'm one day away from the photoshoot for my complete branding overhaul. I've been preparing for months thinking about the new vision that I have for my life.

    I'm also deep in the work of finding the people who I want to surround myself with. Do you have the people you need in your life?

    An exercise I want you to do is to really ask yourself, 'Who are you needing in your life right now?' Maybe you need a business bestie; or maybe you need a girlfriend just to cry with once a week or to go to dinner with, or to share your intimate secrets with. Who are the people that you need right now in your life? And then this is the thing: Go out and find them.
