Today we’re going to be looking at ways that you can help your body to remove the toxins that you’re exposed to on a daily basis in our society. How to support your body, and give it what it needs to do the job. But I want you to know, first and foremost, that this is doable, you can make a difference, for your self, your own health and wellness, your family, the environment, and for generations to come. The majority of environmental pollutants being produced today are substances that did not exist a little over 150 years ago; mankind lived, and thrived, without them for thousands of years; they may be ubiquitous in our society today, an everyday part of our lives, but we can reduce or eliminate their use and therefore their production; we as consumers have the power to impact change. Our bodies, although they are being required to do a job that they were not originally intended to do, and certainly not at such high levels, are able to remove a lot of these toxins, with our help and support; And by the power of the Spirit of God who dwells in those who believe, we can do this, we can make a difference, and we’re going to have some fun doing it, as we look at ways to lighten the load and support our bodies so that they can get the job done.

Happy New Year! Yes it’s a new year and a new start, we have the blank page of a fresh new year before us, and as with many people I’m sure you’ve set new goals for yourself, with the sure and certain belief that by mid February, and I’m being generous here, you’ll have failed at your new year’s resolutions and can get on with life as usual. Today I want to let you know that failure doesn’t have to be the end of the road. In fact failure is a major part of the journey to success. John C. Maxwell, the person who coined the phrase, Fail Forward says, “Fail early, fail often, but always fail forward. …Failing forward is the ability to get back up after you’ve been knocked down, learn from mistakes, and move forward in a better direction.”
So how do we do this? How do we set goals for ourselves and actually achieve them? How do we stick with our good intentions long enough to see the results we want? How do we get past the lie that to fail is a full stop; the end of the story. Today I’m going to give you 3 strategies to help you keep going to continue to work towards your goals and to ultimately achieve them.

Today we’re going to continue our series in How to make convenience your Best friend; so far we’ve gone back over what are First Foods; the whole plant foods listed in Genesis 1:28-29, seeds, nuts, grains, legumes, fruit and vegetables, and leafy greens; and we’ve covered plant-based pantry basics, and plant-based meal prepping; today we’re going to look at healthy, delicious, plant-based snacks and treats.
How often have you gone through your day, with all the best intentions in the world, eating healthy and sticking to your diet plan, only to find yourself at the end of the day, and the end of a packet of cookies, or bag of chips, and wondering how you managed to eat so much without even realising it? Having some not so healthy treats and snacks available as a reward for eating well all day, or week, is great, if you can use the self control, and restraint needed to only have a small bite or a single cookie; much better is to have delicious whole food, plant-based snacks stocked so that even if we overindulge occasionally, we may tip the scale next day, but at least we’ve eaten food that is going to provide blessing and benefit to our bodies. It also means that you have some good fuel available for when you’re working out, or going for a long run, or ride.

Are you ready to make convenience your best friend? It’s time to fight fire with fire, we are going to use the convenience of having meals prepared and ready to be eaten, heated, or quickly and easily cooked, to fight the temptation to give in to the convenience of fast food or prepackaged, processed food. If you’re willing to put in a little time monthly and/or weekly, you can have your breakfasts, lunches and dinners prepped and ready for you each day. The time you invest will return to you with interest, because it takes almost as much time to prep one meal as it does ten.

Have you ever been in that position where you’ve been planning all day to prepare and eat a really tasty, healthy, meal when you get home; but by the time you get there the thought of putting all the work in, to get that meal prepared, just seems like way too much effort; all you feel like doing is grabbing whatever’s convenient, to put in your mouth, and then vegging on the couch. Convenience can be the enemy of consistency, particularly when it comes to eating healthy; but if you’re willing I can help you make convenience your friend. All too often in the church we think of the stewardship of the household of faith as belonging to the pastors, the deacons, the elders; those who have a position, or title within the church. We sit back and think, “That’s their job, that’s what we’re paying them for isn’t it?, I can just go to church and soak up the atmosphere, sing some songs, listen to a sermon, and then leave and get on with my everyday life. The responsibility and authority aren’t mine.” The problem with this thinking, is that no matter how prevalent it is, it does not line up with scripture. You may think that the apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists, are supposed to to minister to you, at church; but the scripture says that they are there to prepare you to go out and minister, in your home, your work place, and your community.

So Very often we as believers forget what it is that we have in our hands, we also forget that we are responsible for what we fill our storehouse with. Both of these things are functions of our stewardship. There are three areas of stewardship that we as believers tend to forget, the stewardship that God has given to each one of us. It’s these three areas of stewardship that we’re going to have a look at today. And they are very basic, but also fundamental to living according to the paradigm of the kingdom of God; stewardship over our bodies, our planet, and the household of faith, and with that stewardship comes both authority, and responsibility.

Do you ever find yourself running around trying to make something happen, believing that God said it would be done, but wondering where God is, and why He isn’t moving on your behalf. If you have an expectation of what should happen and how it should come to pass, but it seems like God is asleep on the job, today we’re going to look at why this is, and the steps we can take to enter into Jesus rest.
God neither slumbers nor sleeps, but he does rest, and because he does, we can know that we have a need to.

All too often I hear believers say, “I’m not a creative person”, or “I’m not as creative as…….” And what they really mean by this is, I’m not an artist or musician, or performer, they relegate creativity to the domain of a small number of skills or careers . But God says that He created mankind in His image, and that we are being transformed into the image of His son; You are the image of The creator of all things, and of the One through whom all things were created. Today I’m going to lead you through 4 Keys that will help you unlock the creativity that God Himself built into the very essence of who you are. God wants you to be operating as a fully functional whole. So how do we do that? How do we unlock the creativity that is within us, or if you are a creative person, how do you unlock the analytical, methodical part of you that is there not to suppress your creativity, but to support and even enhance it.

Today I’m going to give you a really simple way of making sure you’re getting an adequate supply of each of those foods. We’re going to learn how to eat the rainbow, and why it’s important
I Know how hard it can be when you’re interested in transitioning to plant-based eating, or just increasing the amount of plant foods you’re including in each meal, but really don’t know where to start, that’s where eating the rainbow comes in, it’s a simple way of ensuring you’re getting a balanced spread of plant foods at each meal.

Today we’re going to look at the Seven basics that make up plant-based eating. You could think of these as the plant-based food pyramid, and we’re going to look at each level, starting at the top and working down. The food God gave man to eat in the beginning, as recorded in Genesis 1:29, was seeds, nuts, grains, legumes, fruit, vegetables, and leafy greens. These are the elements that make up the plant based food pyramid, and I’ll be showing you how you can start to incorporate them into your eating.
By eating a wide variety of each of these foods, in as natural a form as possible, with at least 50% being eaten raw, you will quickly start to see the health and wellness benefits, in your body, mind and emotions. Remember, the food God created for us to eat in the beginning is still the best food to eat today, for health, wellness, and a long life lived the fullest

Do you ever wonder why there are so many different opinions floating around about what we should eat, and what we shouldn’t? Today we’re going to look at the biblical and historical times when there was a major dietary shift, and what effect they had, in doing so I hope to bring you some clarity about what is the perfect will, and the permissible will, of God when it comes to food. Have you ever prayed to God, and not heard an answer? Are you crying out to God continually, and never receiving what you're praying for? When things go wrong do rail against God for not being, doing, providing what you want? Today we’re going to look at how our relationship with the Lord effects both our prayers, and God’s response to them. And I’ll show you 3 keys to prayers that not just get the job done, but get it done in a big way.
The three keys to praying not just effectively, but effectually, that are modelled so beautifully in the book of Habakkuk, are all based in our relationship with God. And these keys lie in how we Speak, Listen, and Respond to God.
So the question becomes, ”When we cry to the Lord, or bring our complaint before Him, what is our attitude as we do so, and what do we do next?” Because our attitude and our actions speak directly to our relationship with God.

All too often I see believers struggling with the admonition we find throughout scripture, to rejoice always, and I believe the reason for this has to do with the fact that we know longer understand what this word really means. Joy, Enjoy and Rejoice have all been reduced to feelings associate with being happy, or pleasure; so how can we rejoice when we’re feeling stressed or grieving; how can we enjoy life, when things are going wrong and times are tough; how can we be joyful, when we are full of anxiety, stress and grief? And what sort of God expects that of us? And all too often when we seek the answer to these questions, we’re told to just “fake it until you make!”
Today we’re going to look at Joy, Enjoy, and Rejoice, and dig a little into their origins and meanings so that our perception of the admonition to rejoice always, goes from 'feeling Happy, glad or delighted always'. To 'being full of the source of pleasure and happiness and being able to use or benefit form it always'. And I’m going to give you 4 steps to finding Joy, knowing it’s uses and benefits, and how to infuse it into your daily life.

Have you ever tried to change up your eating, the make it healthier, but find yourself falling back into cooking the foods you’re used to, your old favourites, because they’re familiar and satisfying? Or because your family doesn’t want to try new things? Well toady I’m going to let you know how you can change things up, how you can take your dishes from familiar, satisfying and delicious; to healthy, life giving, and delicious, without taking away from their familiarity and satisfaction. I’m going to give you some simple swaps and blessing bombs that you can apply to any meal to take it to the next level
Over and over I see people trying to loose weight or get healthy, trying different diets or meal plans, and having some success, but not seeing lasting change, because inevitably they go back to eating the way they used to, to the familiar. We are creatures of habit, we are drawn to the familiar. Yes we can break old habits, and create new ones, but that is hard work , and often not successful.
So let’s try something different, let’s start by introducing something new into the familiar, make a simple ingredient swap that makes our old favourite just a little healthier, add some blessing filled ingredients to take the life giving benefits of that meal up a notch. And as we do so, bit by bit, our old familiar favourites will be transformed. They will still be our old favourites but they will have become blessing filled Super foods, that will provide health and wellness to our bodies.

Today we’re diving into comfort food, and who doesn’t love to do that! Sometimes, we need to feed our soul, rather than our body, sometimes we just need something sweet and creamy, or salty; sometimes we need something chocolatey; or that food that takes us right back to when we were young, to that safe place where the world was full of wonder. Sometimes our emotional health needs to take precedent over our physical health.
Comfort Food means something different to all of us, it can be personal, familial, and cultural. But one thing it usually is for all of us is high calorie, high fat, high sugar and/or salt. But let’s face it life would be pretty miserable without it. And this can be a source of conflict, anxiety or guilt for those of us who are trying to eat for blessing a benefit, who are looking to loose weight, or take control of our emotional eating.

Did you know that you can choose blessing? Well I’m here to tell you that you can! Today I’m going to share with you a secret from the word of God, that most believer’s are unaware of; today I’m going to share with you how you can know which foods carry the blessing of God, and give life and benefit to your body, so that you can choose God’s blessing even in the food you eat. I used to use food as a form of comfort, but also as a way of beating myself up, because of how I felt about myself; but that was never what God intended for me. God’s desire and intent is that the food we eat is a blessing to us and brings life, healing and length of days.
So you can choose to walk in blessing, or you can choose not to. You get to choose to eat differently, to eat foods that God gave as a blessing, and receive the health and wellness benefits in your body.
But the choice is yours.
