We give our verdict on Doctor Who’s time-twisting New Year’s episode Eve of the Daleks, which may be one of the best – and most festive – specials we’ve had in a number of years. Prepare to pick apart those time loops, bow down to the mighty Aisling Bea and doff your cap to the universe’s most competent Daleks as the Doctor lives her own Groundhog Day nightmare. But with more fireworks.
Plus, we catch up with episode director Annettaa Laufer, take a look ahead at Spring special Legend of the Sea Devils and ask our latest Controversial Question of the Week – should the Doctor and Yaz become a couple?

Plus, we take a look back on series 13 with director Jamie Magnus Stone, and ask our latest Controversial Question of the Week – should John Bishop and Mandip Gill stay on after Jodie Whittaker leaves?

We all know that Jodie Whittaker is handing in her sonic screwdriver in autumn 2022 - but will her companions be leaving Doctor Who with her?
So far, we've had no confirmation as to the future of Mandip Gill (Yaz) and newcomer John Bishop (Dan) beyond series 13, and while most fans have assumed they're leaving the TARDIS behind alongside the Thirteenth Doctor, it's certainly possible that we could be in for a companion crossover.
But with a new series boss incoming, John Bishop's touring schedule and the precedent laid out by Pearl Mackie, the odds really aren't in their favour...

We discuss all the rumours and hearsay surrounding the upcoming centenary special for Doctor Who, which will mark Jodie Whittaker's final adventure as the Doctor as well as 100 years of BBC history.
Will the story be a fond farewell for Thirteen, or will she be a passenger on a larger story? Could we see old Doctors like David Tennant return, or will the current incarnation team up with Lord Reith for a properly BBC-themed adventure?

Before the big news of his and Jodie Whittaker's departure from Doctor Who, series boss Chris Chibnall dropped a major clue for what we can expect from series 13. But what did he mean by "swarm," and how important is it to the main story?
In this week's podcast we try our best to find out the answer, whether that's through looking through Doctor Who's history or going more abstract.

Chris Chibnall is handing in the TARDIS keys - and for the first time in years, we have no idea who could be taking over the role as Doctor Who showrunner.
In this week's podcast we take a look at the runners and riders for the position, from the expected (Mark Gatiss, Toby Whithouse, Peter Harness) to the outside picks (Sally Wainwright, Sarah Dollard and many more) that could take Who to new heights.
Who do you think should be the next Doctor Who showrunner? Let us know in the comments below...
