Meditation is a spiritual, mental and physical practice used to explore your own mind. A lot of people believe that it can have therapeutic effects. It also helps you maintain a greater sense of peace and calm in your life. The word “chakra” in Hinduism refers to a disk, wheel, or vortex. Chakras are energy spirals that collect, sort, and store all of the data about our body, emotions, thoughts, and life experiences; they store and process physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual information. If the concept of chakras is unfamiliar to you, this podcast explains how they represent who we are. The chakras are a part of what is known as the “subtle body” (‘subtle’ refers to something that is not visible but can be felt). Your aura, nādī or meridians, and chakras are all part of your subtle body.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is accept who we are. We're made up of imperfections and mistakes, but that doesn't change the fact that we're here, that we exist. When we learn to accept ourselves - all of our flaws, our sadness, our pasts - then our lives are filled with peace. Learning to accept ourselves can be difficult. It can be even more difficult to accept the parts of ourselves that we cannot change. But if we commit to making changes in our lives, it can make us feel more fulfilled and content with who we are.

The urge to radically change who you are as a person - quickly and for the better - can feel overwhelming when making New Year's Resolutions. This might lead to negative self-reflection about who you are and the path your life is now following. It's critical that people understand that improvements in behaviour or lifestyle habits (or even physical health) take time to materialize into long-term advantages that endure a lifetime. The key is to be patient with oneself during this transformation process so that we don't become disappointed by short-term results and instead focus on what we're doing right now to assist us to reach long-term goals.

Some people have a tendency to get overly excited about the weekend and this can lead to a feeling of being drained during the weekdays. In order to counteract this, we made this writing exercise and guided meditation that helps you prepare for the upcoming weekend by doing some writing and meditation.
Writing can have an effect on the brain that leads to more positive moods, lower levels of cortisol, and better memory. It also helps us connect with others through empathy and understanding.
