This episode of Three Schmoes and a Shot podcast is a review of the 2003 drama The Last Samurai starring Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe.
We are joined by a Guest Schmoe Dino who is an expert in all things related to swords and adds a really informative colorful take to this week's movie in review
The overview of the movie revolves around Capt. Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise) who is an American military officer hired by the Emperor of Japan to train the country's first army in the art of modern warfare. As the government attempts to eradicate the ancient Samurai warrior class in preparation for more Westernized and trade-friendly policies, Algren finds himself unexpectedly affected by his encounters with the Samurai, which places him at the center of a struggle between two eras and two worlds.

For something completely different the crew of three Schmoes and a Shot podcast review the 2010 sci-fi/ horror movie remake The Crazies starring Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell.
The movie is about a fictional Iowa town that becomes afflicted by a biological agent that turns those infected into violent killers (great for a romantic date night!).

Boss Spearman and his cowhands are driving cattle across a large expanse of country. When one of the cowhands ventures into a sparse village to buy a few necessities, he is met with violent hostility from an affluent landowner, and his right-hand man. When the cowhand doesn't come back all hell breaks loose ending in a huge gun fight.

The Schmoe crew take a crack at a review of the 1993 movie falling down where a middle-aged man dealing with both unemployment and divorce has a really bad day after his car breaks down on a Los Angeles highway on his way to attend his daughter's birthday party. As he makes his way through the urban landscape his frustration and bitterness grows resulting in violent encounters with various people, including a vengeful gang and a dutiful veteran cop.

The three schmoes risk another hangover session with a review this episode of the Three Musketeers starring Logan Leeman, Milla Jovovich, and Orlando Bloom to name a few of the starts in this movie. Jeff was so excited he came to the Local Brewing Company #LBC bar in Palm Harbor, Florida where we do our shows in thespian tights. Harry even remembered to set his alarm so he could get up from his nap and join in the fun.

Those ridiculous schmoes are at it again with a review of a cult classic Movie 43 which stars a whole lot of stars in several storylines each with a different director. Since this is a three schmoes and a shot podcast even though there is not a seemingly redeeming quality to this movie we still rate it fairly high on the Schmoe bimbo scale) and given his low information adolescent IQ seems to resonate with Jeff given the gross out humor throughout the film. Geez even Harry seems more talkative.
