La musica folklorica argentina es, en realidad, la integracion de las expresiones originarias de las distintas regiones del pais con paisajes sonoros que llegaron de otras geografias, y un componente muy interesante en las migraciones internas, desde el campo hacia las ciudades, desde las provincias hacia Buenos Aires. Esta diversidad de paisajes, ritmos y texturas ha permitido experiencias muy interesantes de proyeccion y fusion , sin perder su identidad. Instrumentos propios, modificados o incorporados, estilos musicales que corresponden a regiones determinadas del pais. Uniendo generaciones, punto de encuentro, y con grandes artistas en constante renovacion, el movimiento folklorico argentino es conocido y apreciado en distintos paises del mundo.
