Welcome to Session Five of our spring audio Bible study! We're studying The Gospel on the Ground, and we're so excited to join Kristi McLelland as she unpacks the life of the early church in the book of Acts and shows us that the kingdom of God is always on the move, always looking outward to bring meaning and joy to a world searching for true fulfillment and hope.
Each week, we'll release the next teaching session, and we'll leave the audio up for all seven sessions through June 16.
In a Roman world that was divided by power and prestige, the early church stood out for their unity across class and race as the wealthy elite shared table fellowship with slaves. More than that, members of the early church sacrificed to make sure others had what they needed, to the praise and honor of God. In Session Five, Kristi challenges us to model that same Christ-centered unity in our own homes and use our kitchen tables to welcome others so we can share the love of God with them.

Welcome to Session Four of our spring audio Bible study!
In Session Four, we continue to discuss the witness of the early church in the world, the godly Kingdom of Abundance moving into an Empire of Scarcity. Members of the early church set themselves apart in the way they loved others, their refusal to worship the emperor and their willingness to lay down their lives for the kingdom of God. Kristi encourages us to follow God’s call on our lives because He alone is worthy of our worship.

Welcome to Session Three of our spring audio Bible study! We're studying The Gospel on the Ground, and we're so excited to join Kristi McLelland for the next seven weeks as she unpacks the life of the early church in the book of Acts and shows us that the kingdom of God is always on the move, always looking outward to bring meaning and joy to a world searching for true fulfillment and hope.
Each week, we'll release the next teaching session, and we'll leave the audio up for all seven sessions through June 16.
In our study of the early church and the Book of Acts, a deeper knowledge of the Roman Empire will illuminate our understanding of the context of Scripture. In Session 3, Kristi contrasts the Roman Empire, the empire of entertainment that appeals to the worldly desires, with the Kingdom of God, a kingdom of celebration that leads to ultimate fulfillment and joy.

Welcome to Session Two of our spring audio Bible study!
In Session 2, we dive into the story of Pentecost in Acts 3 as understood through a Middle Eastern Lens. Kristi expounds on the biblical metaphor comparing the kingdom of God to a mustard seed and the tenacious nature of mustard seed in Israel. She reminds us that much like a mustard seed, the kingdom of God is on the move, growing and spreading out to every tribe, tongue, and nation on earth.

Women are bombarded with seemingly positive messages—you're enough; you are perfect just the way you are; you’re worthy. But our internal voice often tells us the opposite—you will never be enough, you are broken, you are not worthy. Bethany Broderick joins us on the MARKED Podcast to talk about how Jesus and the gospel upend both kinds of messages for us. Learn how your life will look different once you trade shame and striving for wholeness in Christ.
