The goal of a biblical separation is to provide space to evaluate and repair the broken parts of the marriage, resulting in two healthy people and a restored marriage that both spouses love.

SEXUAL ABUSESexual abuse in marriage is any form of sexual acts that uses force, trickery, or manipulation.
Sexual abuse can look like withholding sex as a form of punishment. The abuser might refuse or threaten to remove sex if they don’t get their way. Withholding sex is a weapon to establish or maintain dominance. Using sex as a weapon to control is sexual abuse.
Sexual abuse can also look like marital rape. Any time one spouse is not in agreement or has not willingly engaged in a sexual act, it is rape. It is any sexual act committed against a spouse’s will.
