Film director Bill Streeter joins Chas E and Mike Mitchell to talk about his independent film "St Louis Brews" - a documentary about the dramatic history and future of the craft beer industry in St. Louis. Bill gives us the lowdown about his film as well as an overview of some of the best breweries in St Louis.
Chas and Mike dabble in some sour beer tasting with the Dugges - Tropic Punch Ale. This ale is special brew created by a joint effort between Stillwater brewing in Maryland and Dugges Ale in Sweden.
Chas and Mike also check out the latest craze in beer known as Nitro. Sure it's great on a good stout beer, but how does it rank on an IPA?

With an ABV of 11.1, this is one serious high gravity beer that could take Mike and Chas to the limits of their beer tasting abilities. Hey, we’re back, and just in time for Memorial Day! After a few weeks of packing, unpacking and moving, Mike Mitchell and Chas E are back with a new episode of At The Hops and a special Memorial Day theme.
On this week’s episode we crack open three beers recommended by MicroBeerClub.com including the Redfeather Session IPA from Black Raven Brewing Company, the Farmlandia Saison from Iron Horse Brewery, and the Yellow Wolf Imperial IPA from Alameda Brewing Company. Jack stops into to tell us once again what to expect for a Saison or Farmhouse Ale, and Mike and Chas do their best to give you a quality rating of all three beers.
We have some Memorial Day music activities too as we check out the Top 6 songs about soldiers according to music writer Andrew Kirell. You can follow Andrew at @AndrewKirell.

Chas E takes us on a historical journey of Top 6 hits with a little help from A.C. and Adia K. First, we focus on some golden oldies and turn back the hands of time to preview what songs were burning the charts in 1978 and 1990. Then we fast forward straight to 2015 to hear just how much things have changed with today's hit makers.
Chas also gives us the lowdown on a new craft beer as we check out Nice Rack - a mango infused IPA from our good friends at Cool Springs Brewery. And we revisit a fantastic performance of our own Mike Mitchell doing his original Abbeyville.

Singer/songwriter Tom Whall joins Chas E. and Mike Mitchell for more rounds of original music and beer tasting.
Originally from Maryland, Tom Whall came to Nashville after studying drums and percussion at the Baldwin Conservatory of Music in Ohio. Today he's making waves in Music City as a singer/songwriter as well as a percussionist. Tom plays three new tunes for us including Hard Wired, Same Damn Life, and Hard To Read, and shares where you can download his latest album Colored Ground for whatever price you'd like! We think it should a pretty generous price considering his great sounds!
We also check out three beers recommended by www.MicroBeerClub.com. This week's beers include the Ketch of the Day from Coronado Brewing Company, the Diamond Knot IPA from Diamond Knot Brewing, and the Big Bang from NoLi Brewhouse. Chas E and Mike Mitchell check out Denny Tedesco's film The Wrecking Crew. The Wrecking Crew pays tribute to the group of 1960's studio musicians who played on some of pop music's most important recordings, including the Beach Boys, Sonny & Cher, the Monkees, the Byrds, and Nancy Sinatra to name a few. And you thought the Monkees themselves played on those recordings, didn't ya? In addition, The Wrecking Crew also played on numerous soundtrack and jingle recordings including the theme to M.A.S.H, Mission Impossible, and Bonanza.
Chas and Mike give you the lowdown on this great documentary with their own personal reactions and clips from the film itself. The Wrecking Crew is now playing at select theaters or is available for download at Amazon.
Of course, we have beer as well! Chas and Mike check out two beers this week including the Black Is The New Wit from Terrapin Beer in conjunction with New Belgium Brewing and Sriracha Hot Stout from Rogue Ales.

Singer/songwriter AnneMarie Neff joins Mike Mitchell and Chas E with banjo accompanist extraordinaire Ken Grandjean. AnneMarie has recently released a fantastic EP called "Brand New Day" and she and Ken perform the title track as well as "One Penny Two Penny" before venturing on their tour of Ireland. Ken also performs his instrumental "Shenandoah Sunset" from his own cd of the same name.
We also check out three beer selections from www.microbeerclub.com including Miss B-Haven Tripel from Wingman Brewers, Phobos from Ecliptic Brewing, and Tsunami Stout from Pelican Pub and Brewery.

Singer/songwriter Emily Earle joins Chas E and Mike Mitchell on this week's At The Hops for some music and some beer tasting. Emily Earle is a name you may know. You may have seen her on The Voice, on tour with Steve Earle, or "busking" in the subways of New York - we'll explain "busking" on the show. At any rate, you'll love her classic, Americana sound as she plays 3 of her originals songs live including the title track of her EP - "News From Colorado."
Emily also helps Chas and Mike check out a couple of craft beers including a Farmhouse Saison from St. Feuillien Brewing in Roeulx, Belgium. And just in case you are not familiar with Farmhouse Saisons, Jack stops by to explain the basics. We also check out a new batch of Yazoo Hop Project #82 from right here in Nashville, Tn.
