Hallie and Katie dive right into the deep end this week, covering everything from epic postpartum periods to Kim Kardashian's latest headline making SKIMS product. Katie gets candid about her post-baby menstrual cycle, revealing that her hormones are raging and she's bleeding for over a week! Hallie doubles down on all that, sharing that her cramps are worse than ever and tampons just don't work like they used to and the ladies wonder if all the postpartum ladies are having epic periods.
Hal also admits she had to wear an adult diaper to Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' tour, after catching a cold and cough that had her peeing her pants. But, she's hopeful her vagina is on the mend after enrolling in some serious pelvic floor therapy.
The mamas weigh in after Kourtney Kardashian called the American school system 'so dated,' during a new episode of her sister, Khloé Kardashian's podcast, 'Khloé in Wonder Land.' The mom-of-four, who is married to Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker, made the controversial comment while explaining her need to 'go against the grain' when parenting her blended family.
Meanwhile, Kourtney’s sister, Kim Kardashian, is also giving Hallie and Katie something to talk about after SKIMS dropped The Ultimate Pierced Nipple Push-Up Bra. The eye-catching twist on the viral Nipple Bra gives off the edgy look without ever having to feel the pinch of a needle and is set to retail for $74. But… would Hallie and Katie rock it?
And the besties give their two cents on the latest decluttering trend: the poop rule. Essentially, the rule is: “If this item was covered in poop, would I still keep it?” And who do we have to thank for this mental image? Lifestyle influencer Amanda Johnson. She called it ‘the easiest way to declutter your home.’ The idea being it clarifies what items you value enough to clean up. But Hallie and Katie aren’t feeling it and would rather subscribe to the Marie Kando method of asking yourself if an item ‘sparks joy.’

This week on the podcast, Hallie and Katie recap their Mother's Day weekend. Katie is happy to report that her girls were surprisingly easy and well-behaved at brunch. She also opens up about Emma's 9-month doctor's visit and has some words of encouragement and solidarity for any mama who is feeling anxiety over their little ones hitting their milestones.
Meanwhile, Hallie is playing a little game called, "Do I have long COVID or am I just a tired mom?" The mom-of-two jokes that her memory is so bad these days that she actually had to check her calendar app to fact-check the year (she was convinced it was 2026). Katie admits she's experiencing the same brain fog, and the ladies wonder if their moms felt this way when they were in the thick of raising littles, or if the invention of the smartphone is to blame for our short attention spans and forgetfulness.
Hallie and Katie also weigh in on a new parenting trend that's going viral on social media: Type C Parenting. The term was coined by TikTok creator Ashleigh Surratt and plays off the familiar Type A and Type B personalities. Type A is highly organized, structured, and punctual. Type B tends to be more relaxed, spontaneous, and flexible. Type C parents? They're a mashup of both. The ladies reveal their Type C moments and admit that while they are historically Type A personalities, they like the freedom that Type C parenting permits.

On this week's episode of Between Us Moms, Katie and Hallie dive into the great debate: should Mother's Day be all about moms, or should grandmothers get their time in the spotlight too? They explore the complexities of celebrating motherhood in all its forms. Then, they unpack some thought-provoking comments from singer Chappell Roan, who recently called motherhood "hell," and share their honest reactions. They explore how motherhood is portrayed in pop culture and why Chappell’s words struck such a nerve. Plus, they discuss Ellen Pompeo’s powerful conversation on Call Her Daddy about her motherhood journey, explaining why they found her perspective so relatable and empowering. Finally, the duo talk about Meghan Markle’s idea of emailing your kids every night, creating a time capsule for them to read when they turn 18.
It’s an episode packed with heart, humor, and some seriously deep reflections on what it means to be a mom today—whether you're in the thick of it, watching from the sidelines, or deciding if motherhood is for you at all.

This week Katie says Instagram was serving a heavy dose of #relatable facts when she scrolled past a quote about how parenting is basically making plans and praying your kid doesn't get sick and ruin it. The timing couldn't have been better given that it hit her feed the same morning that her almost-one-year-old daughter, Emma, spiked a fever, just in time for Hallie's long-awaited trip to California to meet her. The mamas had been looking forward to the bestie time for months and had lots of fun packed into the 24-hour trip. Ultimately, Hallie decided a little fever wasn't going to stop her from coming.
And while Katie's Instagram feed seems to be on point, Hallie is wondering what she did to get inundated with ads on social media for a company that takes your children's baby teeth and turns it into jewelry. It's a hard no for Hallie, who has no plans of keeping her kiddos' teeth after the tooth fairy collects them. As for Katie, she admits her mom kept her baby teeth and they actually came in handy for a science experiment when she was in junior high!
The ladies also talk about how often their husbands go out with friends after Katie stumbled upon a Reddit post from a woman who resents her partner for going out when she barely gets out of the house except for the occasional yoga class and therapy. Katie says Jason will have the occasional dinner with friends but is mindful to go after the girls' have gone to bed. The mom-of-two adds that this chapter is all about their core four, and the focus is on being together, so she wouldn't be down for Jason hitting the town for drinks all the time. Hallie explains that for her, it's a no-brainer to let Andrew go golfing with friends once a week in the summer, explaining that it's his hobby, it nourishes his friendships and it fills his cup. But Hallie admits she's only so supportive of his time with friends on the golf course because her husband is equally as encouraging of her finding time to be with her friends and do things that bring her joy outside of the home.
But we want to hear from you! Let us know in the comments how you feel about your partner going out!

Hallie and Katie have a lot to unpack after Katie's most recent dive down a Reddit rabbit hole, where the mom-of-two stumbled upon an interesting question: "When do you regain your life after having children?" The moms weigh in, explaining that they don’t think women ever regain their former life. Instead, they are learning that happiness comes from embracing the change and making space and time to invest in yourself in spite of the chaos.
The moms also give their two cents on toddler birthday parties after one mom asked if they are a waste of money. The topic is top of mind for Hallie, who is in the thick of planning a joint birthday party for her soon-to-be 1-year-old daughter, Collins, and soon-to-be 3-year-old daughter, Dylan.

Join Hallie and Katie on this week's episode of Between Us Moms as they welcome the incredibly candid and insightful Sarah Hoover, author of the acclaimed memoir, ‘The Mother Load: Episodes from the Brink of Motherhood.’ Sarah is a writer, art advisor, and mom-of-two who has captivated readers with her raw and honest portrayal of the realities of pregnancy and new motherhood.
In this deeply personal conversation, Sarah opens up about why she decided to write a book about her experience with postpartum depression. ‘It burned its way out of my body,’ she tells Hallie and Katie. ‘If writing this book had been illegal and punishable by death I still would have written it.’ Sarah, who experienced PPD after the birth of her first child, Guy, 7, explains that the subject matter felt ‘urgent.’ In the depths of her own depression, Sarah says she searched for literature that might make her feel seen and less alone, but was left empty handed, so writing the memoir felt ‘non-negotiable,’ adding that it was coming out of her body ‘one way or another.’
In the book, Sarah reveals how having a baby impacted her marriage, delivering an unflinching look at the struggles many couples face in the transition to parenthood. Now, Sarah offers an update on her relationship, saying they have emerged stronger and more connected than ever.
Sarah also explains why she decided to have a second child after the trauma of her first and shares the steps she took to ensure a vastly different and more positive experience in the delivery room and postpartum. Sarah delivers a powerful message of hope for any mother currently struggling and reminds us that even in the darkest moments, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Now, Sarah says she's in early talks with producers and would love to turn ‘The Mother Load’ into a television series. Naturally, Hallie and Katie have some casting suggestions.

This week on the podcast, Hallie and Katie talk about aging and motherhood. Both of the mamas started their families later in life and now, they are raising babies and toddlers as they enter their 40s. But, she is grateful she was able to focus on her career, travel and live a full life before entering motherhood.
Katie, who met her husband, Jason, at the end of 2019 agrees that while being an older mom comes with its challenges, the timing was perfect. This week on the podcast, Hallie and Katie dive into the universal experience of mom guilt. Katie explains that she feels the most guilty when she takes time for herself away from her kiddos, even when it's for the betterment of her mental health, like a workout class, or a chore for her family, like a trip to the grocery store. She also has lingering guilt over having a second baby so quickly after her first. The mom-of-two, who conceived her second child when she was just 5 months postpartum with her first, admits that she feels like she is often torn between the two and unable to provide them with the kind of attention she would like to.
Meanwhile, Hallie has mom guilt over her breastfeeding journey after she decided to start feeding her second-born formula at 7 months. The mama says she caught herself defending her choice to friends and family and had a realization that she hopes all moms can apply to their own motherhood journey. She also explains the guilt she feels traveling for work. While she knows she is providing for her family and is grateful for the gig, she suffers from wife guilt too, as her husband, Andrew, is left to juggle the kids and work at home.
The moms touch on how motherhood can alter certain friendships after Katie's iPhone took her on a trip down memory lane. And Hallie is left pondering pubic hair in motherhood after Vogue declared that the bush is back in 2025.
Hallie and Katie also take a moment to reflect on their recent trip to NYC to see the podcast featured on Amazon Music's billboard in Times Square. The mamas are still floating on cloud nine and can't wait to tell their girls about the experience one day.

Hallie and Katie have a lot to chat about this week! Hallie is tired AF, revealing Dylan, 2, is having a major sleep regression and is waking up at 4am every morning and refuses to go back to sleep. Meanwhile, Katie and Jason's daughter, Kaia, 1, is having a sleep regression of her own, with a raging case of toddler FOMO that left her crying so hard in her crib she puked! As for their baby girl, Emma, 5 months, she gave mom and dad reason to celebrate, sleeping through the night for the first time.
Hallie dishes on how baby led weaning is going with her youngest daughter, Collins, 7 months, and says this time around she has way less anxiety with all new milestones than she did with her firstborn. And speaking of milestones, Hallie reveals that she's scrambling to learn the tricks of potty training after her toddler jumped the gun and took a big poop in the potty. The mom-of-two also gives a sweet shoutout to her hubby, Andrew, who turned 40-years-old on Tuesday.
The moms applaud Kylie Kelce after she kept it real about “severe baby blues” and the hardest parts of early motherhood during a recent appearance on the Sunday Sports Club podcast. The 32-year-old wife of NFL star Jason Kelce and mom to three daughters (with baby #4 on the way), is on a mission to normalize the messy, complicated, emotional realities of postpartum life. “The conversations we’re not having are the things we’re all experiencing—postpartum depression, baby blues, mom guilt, feeling inadequate as a woman. We all go through it, but nobody talks about it. And we should,” she emphasized.
Hallie and Katie also weigh in after one mom asked for advice on Reddit regarding her 13-year-old daughter who wanted a $50 shirt. The mamas both agree that they would buy their daughters the shirt, but only under one condition.
