    About Dr David Alfi

    Dr. Alfi is from Los Angeles, California, and was fortunate to attend Columbia University during dental school, where there was a heavy emphasis on oral surgery and academic medicine. While earning his dental degree, Dr. Alfi became interested in the multiple specialties of oral surgery. Radiology, anesthesia, diagnoses, medical management, dentistry, surgery—the more he learned, the more he knew this was the path for him.

    Following his residency, Dr. Alfi joined Houston Methodist and Texas Children’s Hospital while working as an associate professor and full-scope surgeon. He wanted to expand upon a practice that focused on research, innovation, patient care, and educating future surgeons. Dr Alfi then started his own private practice with the vision to excel in surgical outcomes and advance the field with research and development of surgical techniques.

    If a patient is nervous about surgery, Dr. Alfi helps them feel comfortable by knowing that the care they’re about to receive is exceptional, without compromise. To do this, he remains at the forefront of techniques and technology while supporting the patient through each step. He understands the great responsibility of caring for the health of another person, and Dr. Alfi is grateful for every opportunity to help someone achieve happiness through better health.

    Dr. Alfi earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 2006 and his Medical Degree (MD) from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2009. He completed a general surgery residency at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and he completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Columbia University Division of OMFS.

    Dr Claudia Pinter

    Dr. Claudia Pinter is a distinguished figure in the field of orthodontics, particularly renowned for her expertise in the aligner technique. Graduating from the esteemed University of Vienna, Austria, she embarked on a dedicated journey focused on invisible orthodontics with clear aligners. Internationally sought after as a speaker, Dr. Pinter possesses a unique talent for elucidating complex concepts into practical, everyday principles. Her ability to distill intricate information has earned her widespread appreciation among peers. Dr. Pinter's commitment to excellence serves as a beacon, inspiring fellow professionals to delve deeper into the aligner technique. Known for her transparent approach, she generously shares her protocols, fostering a culture of openness and collaboration within the field. Passionate about fostering meaningful connections with colleagues, Dr. Pinter thrives on the exchange of knowledge and ideas.     Dr Stanley Liu

    Dr. Liu is as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery (Sleep Surgery) at the Stanford University Medical Center, Dr. Liu is as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology in the Division of Sleep Surgery, and serves as co-director of the Stanford Sleep Surgery Fellowship. He is chair of oral-maxillofacial surgery at Nova Southeastern University and is a committee member of sleep medicine in the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He currently serves on an expert task force directed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) to update surgical guidelines for adult obstructive sleep apnea. He received his medical and dental degrees from the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF). He was a former Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Research Scholar (Cloister Program). After maxillofacial surgery residency at UCSF, Dr. Liu completed his sleep surgery fellowship with the Department of Otolaryngology at Stanford.

    Dr. Liu practices the full scope of sleep apnea surgery including nasal, palatal, hypoglossal nerve stimulation, genioglossus advancement, distraction osteogenesis maxillary expansion (DOME), and maxillomandibular advancement (MMA). He is also routinely referred patients for orthognathic surgery and facial trauma. In that capacity, he serves as a preceptor to the Stanford Oculoplastic Surgery Fellowship. His active areas of research include dynamic airway examination of OSA, virtual surgical planning for precision facial skeletal surgery, and neuromodulation of the head and neck. He has published over 50 scientific articles and medical texts, with original scientific work on sleep surgery. He lectures extensively in the U.S. and internationally. Dr. Liu is a current Stanford Biodesign Faculty Fellow (2017-18).
