Long-time Canberra duo Capo Creek (Artem Grigoriev and Chris Johnson) have a slapping new album called Running Out and it’s getting rave reviews.
Comprising ten original songs, the album seamlessly crosses genres to offer a delicious blend of acoustic guitar and vocal numbers that delve into the human condition while also being massively entertaining.
With nods to contemporary folk, outlaw country, the blues, acoustic rock, murder ballads, romance, protest and social commentary, Running Out presents the perfect mix for great listening, escapism, foot stomping and even a bit of deep thinking.
There are powerful and poignant songs on this album, as well as the whimsical – plus a whole lot of fun. These guys are bent on making sure everyone’s having a great time at their gigs.
They were joined on the album by some of Canberra’s (and the world’s) best musicians, including Matt Nightingale, Jonathan Jones, Jacqueline Bradley, DJ Gosper and Marji Curran …. and some of them might make special appearances at this gig.
Capo Creek - where the water is sweet and the songs even sweeter.

It’s a song that has a story that I would love you to hear. On this episode I tell the story of how the inspiration of the song came to me, who played on the song and some challenges that came up that I’ve never had to think about when songs in the past. For me, songs tend to write themselves. I’m just the conduit between the thought and what gets played out of your speakers. More often than not the end result is completely different to what I had in mind when I started. This means the song can often feel as new to me as it does to you. I hope you enjoy my latest song “COLD DESERT NIGHT”.
