The Game Awards 2021 came and went. Boy, oh boy, was it commercialized, slow paced, and really missing the mark of where it needs to be. Despite that, as expected there were a number of solid games that were shown off. Naturally, Matty and Paul go through each and every one of them!

The aftermath of Halo Infinite is upon us. After covering the potential release of the multiplayer live, it is now here. Some bad, most of it VERY good. Beyond that, Matty and Paul dig into the latest confirmation in Xbox's lineup: Elder Scrolls VI will be exclusive. Not very noteworthy to some and that is precisely how it became our lead story. For not being real news, a lot of outlets and their reporting of the confirmation show a strange bias cropping up in the media. Furthermore, Activision continues to spiral downward as a pure embarrassment to our medium. With a story that is constantly developing, it's possible that it is out of date by the time it reaches free feeds, but it still must be discussed.

Halo Infinite has had some of the most shocking rumors this year. Reports are in that the multiplayer is set to launch on November 15th which is the 20th anniversary for both Xbox and Halo: Combat Evolved. Matty and Paul do live reporting as the situation unfolds. Yet again, Xbox has had new exclusives leak at the hands of Jez Corden. This time it is more on Obsidian as well as a project named Midnight which hails from recently acquired Compulsion Games. Lastly, Pizza Hut is better than Dominoes and you can debate Matty on that one.

Skyrim is being sold again with the price finally being revealed. Is Bethesda going to take an egregious path with their most popular game? Obsidian has yet another RPG leak. This one is from Josh Sawyer who directed the likes of Fallout New Vegas and Pillars Of Eternity. Basically, the sky is blue and water is wet! Speaking of water, we settle the long heated ice debate this week. Matt and Paul gather a cup of pop with and without ice. Only one will exit victorious... who will it be?

A popping week is upon us! Halo Infinite has finally revealed its campaign (again) to the world and with it comes some expected revelations. 343 showcased an open world structure mirroring the fatigued design of Ubisoft games, a first time appearance in a skill tree, and side quests. Common ground for many modern games, but new for Halo. Bethesda continues to capitalize on Skyrim's adorations with a newly repackaged Anniversary Edition which has new content which was just detailed. Matty and Kopi sift through it all! Perhaps most pressing is the continued debate of whether or not it's proper to drink soda from a wine glass and what temperature it should be at. Matty attempts to defend his stance, but does he succeed? The audience shall decide and a verdict will be made next week...

A mighty week in gaming news has come and gone! Elden Ring, one of 2022's most anticipated releases, has seen a small delay. Does it come with concern or is all of it under control? Beyond that, another week and another series of Xbox leaks. The newest one comes in the form of a cloud-based MMO from a relatively unknown studio. The premise sounds unique, but what exactly IS cloud gaming? Matty and Paul discuss. Beyond that, poop stories. You want them, we got them.

The energy is REAL this week! Avowed suffered a substantial leak this week at the hands of Jez Corden so Paul and Matty sink their teeth deeply into this one. With new details on the gameplay of Avowed, is this going to push Bethesda in the direction of taking notes and doing their own thing? Plus, there is much to discuss in the world of Nintendo! With balls of steel, they have hiked the price of their online service by 150%! Is there enough included to justify such a price climb? That on top of the fiercely debated Pokemon Legends Arceus which is seemingly confirmed to not be open world! Toss in some fantastic call ins and we have ourselves a fine episode of H.A.M. Radio Live.

Xbox begins the celebration this week for the 20th anniversary of the brand. Can we expect more beyond some merch and hardware? Paul and Matty discuss their hopes and dreams for the anniversary in November as things heat up! These two also happened to review Far Cry 6 where they left with the same emotion: bleh. Far Cry 6 came across as uninspired to the duo during the review period, so it's time for a deep dive into why that is the case. Beyond that, some dude named Sora is added into Smash Ultimate and GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is finally announced!

After diving into the deep end with episode 1, H.A.M. Radio Live has its official structure. Alongside it is more big news from the trifecta of gaming titans. PlayStation has absorbed not one but two developers in its path. What is the future of both Bluepoint and Fabrik Games? Matty and Paul discuss! Meanwhile, Xbox was expected to have acquisitions of their own, but instead they have continued to fortify the offerings of Xbox Game Pass. This time it is in the form of Scarlet Nexus, AI: The Somnium Files, and Marvel's Avengers. On top of all of this, Nintendo has gone out of their way twice to shut down reports out of Bloomberg about a Nintendo Switch supporting 4K output. With this second report, more names and details are provided, so the detectives get to work!

Welcome to our first episode of H.A.M. Radio Live! In this episode, we discuss Xbox's new partnership for Perfect Dark, Nintendo's wild direct featuring a plethora of announcements, and your fun call-ins! Overall, we had a blast on our first episode! There are certainly some growing pains we have to comb through such as technical difficulties, timestamps, timing, question counts, etc. but I think that comes with anything new. I'm proud of us. This is new and for Paul to dive into the deep end with his first show like this AND have it be live... he did very well. So, we hope you enjoy!
