From its jaw-dropping visuals best experienced in IMAX to its surprisingly heartfelt story, this film delivers more than just fast cars and big crashes. It’s packed with genuine moments of teamwork, camaraderie and a few laugh-out-loud lines which I enjoyed for what it was.
Yes, the movie leans into the cheese and Hollywood drama, but it also pays real tribute to the spirit of racing in places, Sonny Hayes being a lot more of a deep character than you think and you actually CARE about the team.
The Daytona opener is especially a true highlight and a perfect showcase of what the movie can be! I give it four rungs out of five!

McLaren extended their dominance with a commanding one-two finish, as Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris pulled further ahead in the championship battle while Verstappen’s title hopes took a big hit after late-race chaos and a costly penalty. Sauber delivered one of the feelgood stories of the weekend, jumping up the standings thanks to a vintage drive from Nico Hulkenberg and some smart strategy calls, lifting Sauber off the bottom for the first time in over a year! Mercedes showed revived pace as George Russell stormed back into the top five and Charles Leclerc’s relentless charge helped Ferrari leap to second in the team standings and back-to-back podiums.
