  • In today’s episode, I’m debunking a common myth in the nursing world: that landing your first nursing job is easy. We’ve all heard phrases like, “There’s a nursing shortage, you’ll get a job” or “As long as you have a pulse, you’ll find work.” But the reality? The new grad nurse job market is highly competitive, and it’s likely the toughest job market you’ll face in your entire career.

On average it takes 3 to 6 months to secure your first RN position and many find themselves close to a year without job traction. In this episode, I will explain why the new graduate nurse job market is so competitive and strategies to help you prepare and tackle the job market.
