This week on the podcast, I'm sharing my conversation with Abby Green, co-host of the HERself Podcast, where she talks about the real challenges and triumphs women and mothers face.
Abby Green is a type A woman that loves nothing more than a finished to-do list and a tidy house. This felt DOABLE until her second child joined the mix. All of the sudden she was overwhelmed, frustrated, and her Achiever heart was breaking as she felt like she was just scraping by in every area of life.
This launched her into her own self-improvement journey. She had to learn what she could let go of, where she needed her partner to step up, and she knew she needed help in ALL the places (think therapy, life and business coaching, and even hiring out the laundry!).
Now that her feet are more firmly planted on the ground, she is here to share her journey in order to help other women navigate theirs.

This week, I'm joined by Amanda Clayman, a therapist turned financial wellness and relationship coach who focuses her work on the intrinsic connection between money and mental health. Amanda’s 30 years of experience in the field allows her to dive into some of the thorniest, most personal dilemmas we face, in order to bring compassionate clarity to the conversation.
Amanda is a clinician, coach and speaker specializing in money issues. She entered the mental health field with a unique focus: the role of money in people’s lives. Her journey into this niche began in her 20s when she noticed how deeply emotional her relationship with money was. Financial challenges she faced were more about underlying emotional wounds than mere poor financial decisions. As she delved into therapy for herself, she realized that simply understanding these emotional roots wasn’t enough to change her behavior, it required dedicated focus and effort. Determined to transform these insights into healthier financial behaviors, Amanda questioned why the intersection of finance and emotional health wasn’t more widely addressed. This sparked a passion within her to help others navigate the same path. She found herself compelled to continuously explore and work in this area, aiming to illuminate the connection between money and emotional well-being for her clients.

It's been a bit since I've done a solo episode and I've realized in the craziness of the season, I've been relying on things outside of me to get me though. Join me as I share my experiences and insight over the last few weeks and learn how I plan to intentionally shift my energy back towards good.
