Tiffany Nicole Moss(born July 1983) was convicted of murdering Emani in 2019. Emani was physically abused by Moss for several years prior to her death. In 2013, Moss began starving Emani. Emani's father Eman, who was rarely home, failed to stop the abuse. Emani died of starvation on October 28, 2013. At the time of her death, she weighed 32 pounds (15 kilograms), the weight of an average toddler.

Investigators believe Letecia Stauch killed her stepson Gannon Stauch in their Lorson Ranch home on January 27, 2020, before driving his body to the Florida panhandle where it was eventually discovered in March 2020.
Stauch faces over a dozen charges, including first-degree murder.
Stauch's defense also asked for a motion not to have a jury due to a large amount of publicity the case has received, which will make it difficult to find a fair jury.
