On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are probably going to die… real… slow… We watched the 2023 film from Matthew Goodhue, Slotherhouse.

It seems like many of the best horror films take place in a sorority house. There’s Black Christmas, Happy Death Day, Sorority House Massacre. It’s time to add a new one to that list!

You might think it’s cute. You might love its adorable little noises. But what you won’t be prepared for is how bloodthirsty and violent this little Panamanian maniac is. Don’t get on its bad side.

The only way we could watch this month’s B movie was with Steven’s fiance, Nicole! She joins us to figure out if this one is brilliant, a flunder, or the dreaded blunder.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying to stay sane while there’s a Satan-worshipping cult about. We watched the 2018 film from Ari Aster, Hereditary.

What? You’re saying that you didn’t know there’s a shadowy cabal of murderous, lunatic, Hell fetishists in this film? You thought it was just about creepy family drama? Well, you’re not wrong.

And join the club! We had a similar experience with this all-around shocking film. We couldn’t have asked for a better spooky movie in this most spooky of months. To say this one kept us guessing would be an understatement.

Pop some popcorn, get under a cozy blanket, and definitely be sure to keep your limbs and head inside the ride at all times. You never know what could pop out and snuff out your lights.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are hard of hearing but easy with revenge. We watched the 2016 film from Mike Flanagan, Hush.

I think this is an important film that teaches a valuable lesson. Life may get you down. Hell, it may even take your hearing and your voice, but that doesn’t mean you can’t kick some serious ass.

As they say: when the going gets deaf, the deaf get stabby. Should any of us find ourselves in a similar situation to the one depicted here, know that there’s always the option to seek revenge.

I mean, keep it above board. Don’t go crossbowing just anybody. But if someone like the terrible, home-invading jerk in this film shows up outside your door, then you know what you’ve got to do.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are body swapping and murderer fleeing. We watched the 2020 film from Christopher Landon, Freaky.

You all remember that silly movie where Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are a mother and daughter who magically switch bodies and hijinks ensue? Freaky is a lot like that one, but loads of people are brutally murdered.

It’s the classic formula for all of the best movies! Not only does it make for a fun, spooky time, it’s also going to kick off our month of spooky Halloween episodes.

We’ve got a lot of good stuff in store for you this year. In this one, Vince Vaughn is a scary-ass killer and Kathryn Newton is the teenager who unwillingly takes over his monster body. It’s good time for for everyone!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are being smart and just staying out of cornfields. We watched the 2021 film from Tim Ritter, Sharks of the Corn.

I’ve had it with these motherfucking sharks in this motherfucking corn! Wait, that’s a different movie entirely. Is Snakes on a Plane a better movie than this one? Lucky you, we’ve now done both of them!

Am I saying that one is better than the other? Nah, you’re stuck here with this one. (Although, I will say that one features Samuel L. Jackson, and that’s probably all you need to know.)

Listen on to find out what kind of rating sharks killing people in cornfields will get a movie. Will this one be brilliant, a flunder (i.e., a fun blunder), or the dreaded blunder…

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are taking down the man, one tv show at a time. We watched the 1987 film from Paul Michael Glaser, The Running Man.

The year is 2017. Reality television has grown out of control. Sadistic game show hosts control the country. Real blood is spilled. Lives are lost. The crowd cheers on.

No, I’m not talking about what actually happened to the world in 2017. I’m talking about the Arnold Schwarzenegger film that feels a little too prescient. I know, the similarities are too uncomfortable to consider for any length of time.

But this episode shouldn’t give anybody the kind of chilling thoughts that the real world might. It’s a freaking Schwarzenegger film! That’s always a good time.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are seriously reevaluating all of their sports hobbies. We watched the 2005 film from Neil Marshall, The Descent.

Word to the wise: if you find out your spouse is cheating on you with one of your friends, don’t go on an uncharted spelunking trip with said friend. There’s no way that outing is going to go well.

And that’s assuming you won’t run into any cave-dwelling, humanoid monsters intent on eating your flesh. Throw that nightmare into the mix and you’ve got the makings of a bad time.

Luckily for us, we can just sit back and enjoy this chilling episode of the podcast. Enjoy, and be sure to send us ideas for new movies to watch!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are just trying to make it to Friday without going crazy. We watched the 1999 film from Mike Judge, Office Space.

“Corporate accounts payable, Nina speaking… Just a moment.”

“’PC Load Letter’? What the fuck does that mean?”

“I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it’s not okay because if they take my stapler then I’ll set the building on fire…”

I could go on and on with this brilliant film, but the best possible thing you could do for yourself is give it another watch as soon as possible. And remember, we’re putting new cover sheets on every TPS report before they go out.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying to outlive some sicko’s demented hobby games. We watched both Escape Room movies by Adam Robitel.

When did we all stop loving the simple things in life? When did the pure pleasure of a video game or, I don’t know, going for a walk in the park become boring and passé?

Everything now is all trap myself in this, escape from that. How could the ultimate adrenaline rush become facing certain death for ephemeral thrills?

Maybe these questions just prove that I’m not the thrill-seeking type. Call me boring, but after watching these two films, boring is what I’d rather be. Beats dying at the hands of some murderous lunatic.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying to save the universe with MAXIMUM EFFORT! We watched the 2024 film from Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine.

What do you get when you combine the Merc with a Mouth and Weapon X? That’s right: it’s one of this year’s biggest blockbusters (and the veritable savior of Marvel, if you listen to some reviewers).

It’s the epic team-up that everyone has been craving since our dear Ryan Reynolds first donned the skintight red suit. And would you be surprised that it features the ever-popular Multi-verse?

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are dunking ourselves in questionable goo to save the world. We watched the 1994 film by Mike Binder, Blankman.

Watching Blankman is like becoming Blankman: you feel like a nerdy film buff while you’re doing it, and by the end of the movie, you’ll end up feeling like you can take down crime.

It’s like giving yourself superpowers! The sheer excitement of discovering something that should, by all rights, be terrible is actually kind of good. And it’s heartwarming as hell.

This month’s B-movie episode is surprising all the way through. It’s the sort of thing that reminds us why we all got into this movie game. Listen on to find out what we graded this one!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are taking down crime with our trusty WWI baton and duct tape. We watched the 2009 film from Peter Stebbings, Defendor.

Who watches the watchmen? Well, in this case, it’s a decked out Woody Harrelson with a troubled past and a taste for taking down crime. Evildoers, you’ve been warned.

Is he the Batman that many of us might wish were actually real? No. Can’t say that he is. But would any of us actually want any of those bad guys running around and creating havoc? I think not.

I’ll take my Defendor, thank you. And you’ll have this episode featuring a pretty badass wannabe superhero.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are taking a pipe wrench to crime’s face. We watched the 2010 film from James Gunn, Super.

Suit up, dear listeners! Now is not the time to be complacent. There’s crime happening every dang day, and we’re going to be the ones to take down that crime. This holy mission has been given to us by weird hentai God.

Bad guys aren’t going to know what hit them. And what’s going to hit them, over and over in the brain, is a metal wrench. Or freaking Wolverine claws. Or just a straight up pipe bomb.

Find your bad-assest suit, recruit your most loyal (and deranged) sidekick, and teach crime why it shouldn’t mess with the likes of the good guys!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are telling crime to go screw itself. We watched the 2010 film from Matthew Vaughn, Kick-Ass.

Getting stabbed, flying around in a machine gun jetpack, toppling a giant mafia organization… It’s all in a day’s work for your average hero.

And believe me when I tell you that this hero is most definitely average. Does he have superpowers? Does he have some dark origin story involving the murder of a family member? Is he even particularly good at fighting bad guys?

The answer is nope. That’s not going to stop Kick-Ass, and you can be damn sure it’s not going to stop us from talking about this film. Strap in and enjoy!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying to stay as quiet as possible while the world is ending. We watched the 2024 film from Michael Sarnoski, A Quiet Place: Day One.

I think there’s a non-zero amount of people who think they can survive an alien invasion like the one shown in this film. I’m here to say that there’s a good chance that’s not true.

In fact, there’s a 100% chance that your trusty podcast hosts would die within the first few minutes. Would we even make it past thirty seconds? Don’t get your hopes up.

I don’t think any of us are as badass as Samira from this film. I’m hoping that we won’t ever have to find out. What you can do is enjoy this thrilling episode of the podcast!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are traveling through space to save the universe from the dreaded Emperor Ming. We watched the 1980 film from Mike Hodges, Flash Gordon.

What do a former football player, a Swedish knight who challenges Death to a chess match, and a fiddler on the roof all have in common? They’re all in this absolutely bonkers B-movie!

I don’t want to give too much of this one away. Rest assured, though, that watching this film at the right time in one’s life could be a formative experience. By the time the credits roll, you won’t be the same person.

Listen in to discover what we ranked this month’s B-movie. Will is be brilliant, a flunder, or the ever-dreaded blunder?

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are back to fighting the freaking Empire… erm, I mean the First Order. We watched the 2015 film from J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… evil space dictatorships just won’t stay put down. Just when you think the magic space wizards have established peace, someone comes along with an enormous, planet-destroying laser weapon.

It’s enough to make you want to pick up your fearsome laser sword and start hacking down some bastards. Is it too much to ask for just an eternity of peace and prosperity amongst all the connected planets?

But oh no, there’s always a whiny man-boy who just has to ruin it for everybody instead of going to see a therapist about his daddy issues. This is why we can’t have nice things! For the love of Chewie, just one nice thing!
