A podcast with an industry mogul Nick Mundt from Bone Collector. I first met Nick when he was hired as Bill Jordan’s camera guy over 20 years ago. We were both in Montana for monster bucks 10. Nick was so damn funny and such a great hunter and guide. It was a pleasure knowing him before having a name for himself. Over the years he has carved his name into bowhunting history with all the great content as one of the triple threat Bone Collectors. I wanted to catch up with Nick following a TAC event and talk about old times and talk about broadheads with someone who knows how to stack them up!

This podcast is with Hoyt President Zak Kurtzhals. We talk past, present and future of our friendship, competition trail and time in the industry. We recorded this hours before the announcement that I was returning home to Hoyt for my next chapter in archery. Zak has an amazing story starting at Hoyt as an accessories engineer and working up the ladder as lead engineer and then President. I felt like this would be a good listen for the nock nation to understand where we came from and why returning to friends and alliances is so important.

In this podcast I spill my guts to the Archery Community about what my plans are moving forward and what bow will be in my hand. I thought it was time to walk our faithful friends through my timeline in the industry. Where it started. Where I’ve been. Where I’m going and the why’s! I’m truly blessed to have 30 years in the industry and I wanted you all to know what has led me to the choices moving forward! Many of these topics I haven’t said publicly but it’s an important part of who I am and I wanted to be as transparent as possible with the Nock On Nation.

This podcast is with one of the happiest Nock On Nation members I saw walking the total archery challenge course. His name is Zenn Teoh. He instantly had me asking questions! He's an Asian from Australia, Living in the wild in Canada after some time in the UK who is a self taught archer & Bowhunter. This is who we are as a community and nothing makes me happier. I hope you this story inspires you to pick up your bow and follow your passion!

Pete gives some amazing insight on what it takes to tackle what most said was impossible to achieve. I have always loved this vision and movement that Pete has continued to plow new trails on. There’s story after story of how the Gen X American fort builders forged the fortitude to create a leading brand right here in the USA.

Tyson is an awesome young face that’s done a great job of bringing better understanding of accuracy and manufacturing to consumers in recent years through Easton’s marketing. I sat down with Tyson at the Total Archery Challenge and we dive into his archery roots but then into the 100years of Eastons loyalty to the archery market.

This podcast is with Matthew Hays. He is currently leading an awesome team of hunters at Leupold but has an awesome background. I just loved his story because he represents what happens when you stay on a path for a lifetime. He got his first deer at 6 yrs old and grew up in a house where he was taught to use a 30/30 with iron sights. Married his high school sweetheart, spent time in the Marines in Intelligence, competed in NRL and PRS matches, ran certain aspects at the historical Leupold range training. This is all while climbing up through a corporate company going from a service call tech to now leading some of the greatest hunters on their team.

In this podcast I sit down with Hunter at the Total Archery Challenge and talk about the support and importance of everyday brands that aren’t directly in the hunting space brining support and exposure to archery and bowhunting. I’ve known Hunter for a few years now and he has stepped up the support to everyone at TAC and also some amazing new experiences brought to you by the team at Jack Links.

In the podcast I learn more about rangefinders in 50 mins from Eric Overstreet than I have known all my life. I met Eric through my good from Les Welch several years back and have continued to learn from Eric each time I see him at a TAC event. This is a podcast that every archer or Bowhunter should listen to for better understanding of the mathematics and complexity of the range finders on the market today.

This is a podcast from PA filled with short stories from several of you who we see at the total archery challenge. YOU are all what make up our community and each story is so unique and so inspiring. I set up a recording station to get your stories so others can hear it!

We have recently finished filming a series for hunter’s education graduates that take advantage of some access to bettering their progression as new hunter. We also talk through some important things that all of us should put into practice. Nate is a great guy and has such a positive and holistic view on the outdoors. Quinn is an inspiring digital creator with an eye to details and a passion to capture great educational content.

In this podcast I sit down with three experts behind a lens and in the editing room Caleb Copeland, Casey VanDerGraaf and Joe Chiarappa. Although these 3 fellas are experts beind the lens and in the studio I try to get them to simplify the most important things for all of us doing our own video and photos for our hunts or social media. We get into a lot of subjects including self filming, gear essentials, better content creation and better approaches to editing.

In this podcast I sit down with an Iowa farmer who I recently visited while looking for new spots to hunt with LandTrust. After driving around with him and listening to his story I wanted to do a podcast from a landowners perspective who is offering daily hunts through Land Trust which is like the “AirBnb” for hunting/recreation land. I get asked often about “how and where“ I hunt and LandTrust has opened the door for DIY private land hunting opportunities. This is an amazing new tool that new hunters and veteran hunters can use to find new spots in new areas.

In this podcast I sit down and discuss the new T2 head that I know is about to make serious waves in the bowhunting industry. This is a wicked new mechanical that has shown me some insane results. I sit down with Nate Grace, Brian Andersen and Jeff Helm to discuss the concept to creation and where we stand after a final hunt using production heads. We dive into the what’s, the why’s and the where’s to this new broadhead that proves consistency is found in simplicity!

Dr Attia is a passionate archer and bow hunter who is super fascinating about his attention to details when he has a successful hunt. He talks about vitals, fatality and what it takes for a clean ethical arrow to an animal. I hope you enjoy!

This podcast is one that I personally was really hoping for. I was lucky enough to get Joel Maxfield on for his first podcast. Full disclosure, Joel is one of my personal mentors in bowhunting. He began working for MATT McPherson as a youngster with McPherson archery and then became the first employee of Mathew’s and ultimately my boss there during my time. Much of my base in archery came from watching Joel and Matt in the bow labs and experimenting with the founding teams there. Joel has a hunting resume that is far to long to write. I’ve never met someone more serious and dedicated to bowhunting and archery than Joel. He loves the industry, loves the dealers and loves professional archery. He has a Grand Slam in archery and the Super Slam in archery. He shoots a compound and traditional gear. His wife Janice is an extremely successful short draw low poundage archer also having success on most species around the globe. His experience and curiosity goes deeper than anyone I know of when it comes to real life application of arrows and animals. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This podcast is with Troy Fowler who many people claim is behind the charge in heavy arrow/FOC & penetration debates. After my recent arrow series “truth about arrows” Troy reached out to discuss some of these topics with me. Although many in the industry have found certain subjects or comments from Troy to be abrasive, I told him I would certainly like to talk more on the topics. I also wanted to understand his background because in the end, all I want is for archers to maximize their abilities and some of the “extremes” just don’t translate to accuracy and tuning. Going into this podcast I didn’t know much about Troy’s background and wanted first hand information from him about some of the arrow opinions he has. We navigated our first long conversation together while he told me his side of curiosity and I explained my theories based on my experiences on the range and in the field. Although some of Troy’s post and comments within the archery community isn’t from the high ground I think he could choose to take, it becomes clear it’s part of what makes him who he is. Troy has made a few comments to me about the appreciation he has for some of the information I have shared and will lead him down some new paths. I like where we left off and hope I can be of help more if asked but also want to do what’s is possible to make sure the industry moves forward, TOGETHER for the betterment of all those who choose life with a bow.

This podcast is with Bill from Ironwill Outfitters. We dove deeper into the arrow topics and where his latest testing has led. I enjoyed an open minded talk about the fixed blade/mechanical broadhead debate. I also questioned the depth of the testing he has done so far and give a little insight on the topic too playing the devils advocate. We also question some important topics the archery needs to know. This is such a great talk regardless of whether you are a mechanical or fixed blade broadhead supporter OR if you want o hear more on the debate of FOC focus vs Accuracy Focus.
