Food itself is neutral. But our relationship with food can be a revealing symptom of other things in our lives and feel hugely vulnerable. When there is no ease around food it can make you feel like there is very little flexibility in your life - it affects everything, from socialising to relationships and self-esteem.
So, where do you start with being more resilient? A good place to start is disconnecting from the external narratives you’re absorbing about food and tapping into the signals of your own body instead. This is what many people know as intuitive eating.

The vulnerability that comes from ageing, the narratives around our worth as we age and the sense of having lost something that was precious can be crushing. But it doesn't have to be.
In this episode I'm talking to Lolly Streek, who started modeling and acting in her early 50s and is a grey haired model who also has a disability and frequently wears an eye patch. You may have seen her in ads for Volkswagen TROc, Schwarzkoff one, John Lewis, Sweaty Betty or Virgin Active - or in Vogue. We'll be looking at narratives around ageing, why representation matters and how Lolly has approached the challenges that getting older can bring.

Niceness vs kindness. What would you choose?
Niceness is a safety strategy that many of us have used as a way to stay safe in the world. It trains us to put others' wants, needs and desires ahead of our own. But it also damages our experience of our lives and our connections, whether that's because we're people pleasing, being passive aggressive or hiding who we are.
In this episode we'll be looking at niceness vs kindness, the impact of the culture we live in and how we internalise ideas of what we're allowed to do and not allowed to do, as well as the process of reclamation of true self that comes from dropping kindness - and the deep inner peace that brings. At the end of the day, all of us just want to be who we are.
