Recording very early on very little sleep today, hope you're in the mood for waffles....because I'm waffling for pretty much the whole hour.
This week I'm back to our regular format, I take you through all the Games That Were, we're back to living in constant fear of missing out with FOMOMOFO, and there's a brief stop for INCOMING!!!!
We tiptoe through my frontal lobe in Voices in my Head, and I share my deepest, most personal confessions.

Finally back in the chair after three weeks off and very happy to be here!

This is not a tariff podcast, but I'd call it 'tariff adjacent'..... and a different kind of FOMO, the Fear of Missing Out on games we've already paid for....

12 hour gaming day yesterday means a full wrap today! Super Trooper and I do a full breakdown of all the 'Games that Were!' from yesterday's game day, with a side of random ramblings.

This week, I"m back after traveling for work and have been making up for lost time.
You get to hear about all 'The Games That Were', and this week, there were plenty, including new games off my Shelf of Firsts!
New games in, though no sign of 'the game that shall not be named', instead, some retail games have just come in, finally available in Australia, HUZZAH!!!
In FOMOMOFO we'll chat about a number of campaigns, none of which I'm backing (spoiler alert), and in 'Voices in my Head', I'm unpicking two Egyptian themed games that tickle the same spot for me, and do a fantastic job of it.

Things are ramping up in crowdfunding for the start of the year, in FOMOMOFO I take you through a number of new campaigns, including Everdell Silverfrost, La Patisserie Rococo, Darwin's Journey, as well as the daily pain of 'late pledge season'...
In 'Voices in my Head', I'm unpicking the furor over A.I. art in gaming and what that means, and of course I give the clap to a very deserving recipient.

This week I go through the 'games that were' from the last 2 weeks, spoiler alert, it was a fantastic 2 weeks...
In INCOMING!!!! I go through what's on the way in, aside from BOTSE, which yes, I will talk about again, sorry, not sorry.... FOMOMOFO touches on the crowdfunding campaigns that are starting to kick off, though it is most definitely a slow start, along with the campaigns that are coming, which look to be amazing!
In 'Voices In My Head', I share my own story, and the role that board games have played and continue to play, in my mental health, I can't be the only one.
Oh, and I give the clap to a very deserved individual, with my personal thanks.

This is the first in OMC's series for 2025 'Not all heroes wear capes', where I bring to you the origin stories for some of board gaming's most notable contributors. Every hero has a beginning, and I'm very excited for this series.
In this episode, we get a VERY candid look at the legendary Paul Grogan and how Gaming Rules was born.
Please note, this was OMC's first international recording and due to some technical difficulties parts of the interview needed to be re-recorded after the fact. If you sense any irregularities or unusual fluctuations in the episode, please note that every effort has been made to correct the gaps with integrity and accuracy to the original interview. My effusive thanks to Paul Grogan for making himself available, and for also for his understanding of the unfortunate gaffe.
Also, for those of you that are wondering if Paul Grogan is as much a gentleman in person as he appears to be, the answer is no, he is not. He is far more, with a generosity of spirit that supersedes your expectations at every turn.

I've survived Christmas, it's NYE tomorrow, and I've only played 3 different games, but spoiler alert, I've played Agemonia 8 times.
This week I share my boxing day Impulse-FOMO shenanigans, you get a bit of a look in to my obsession with food, and I talk all things Agemonia.
