In the season finale of perSPECtive season 3, Chloe sits down again with Miranda Mckeon; except this time they chat all things Fill Your Tank. Fill Your Tank is a deck of conversation cards made to foster connections between friends and strangers. Miranda founded this company after she and her high school friends would ask each other “road trip questions.” After falling in love with the conversations these questions prompted as well as connecting on a deeper level, she decided to create a whole company dedicated to inspiring this for others. Besides the company’s backstory and mission, Miranda also discusses the process of building a company with intention and how she plans to scale the business with future decks, products, and events. In the 6th episode of the season, Mia McCarthy joins Chloe to talk about her career as a photographer and startup co-founder. Initially getting her start in high school, Mia quickly started defining her unique visual identity through her work — and people in the industry took notice. At just 15 years old she signed with IMG Models Worldwide as a photographer. Once a USC student she started freelance working on an array of projects from product shoots to more editorial-style work. She set her photography aside when she went on to co-found Handle — a venture-backed food delivery service (listen to our episode with the past CGO of Handle HERE to learn more). In episode 5 of season 3 of perSPECtive, Chloe chats with Nick Hensel and Ian Brash; the CEO and CTO of Pickle. Pickle’s software enables talent agencies to transform their talent’s data into compelling presentations and helps them land more brand deals. In Season 3 Episode 3 of perSPECtive, Chloe chats with successful entrepreneur Emmy Rener. During her 2020 gap year, she founded Sophisticated Spreads: an LA-based charcuterie board company specializing in cheeseboard boxes that are delivered to your doorstep as well as large grazing table events. Leveraging social media and a “launch quickly, adapt later” mindset she has been able to scale the business to found new products, serve countless 60+ people events, and even make boards for celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Sophia Vergara. In the finale of perSPECtive season 2, Chloe chats with Ava Noble — a senior at USC Kaufman. This triple threat discusses all things dance at USC; a world many students do not know much about. Ava walks us through what it took to get Kaufman (one of the best dance schools in the country), her dance experience at USC, and her interest in musical theatre. With a dream of working on Broadway, Ava is constantly striving to improve her voice and acting skills in addition to dance. In this week’s episode of perSPECtive, Chloe is joined by Cadie Nussbaum and Allana Taghioff, founders of USC’s first-ever student-run record label, 840 West. Both Cadie and Allana are juniors studying music industry and came up with the idea for 840 West while doing their freshman year of college online. As they Zoomed into a meeting that planned to revamp the abandoned USC Music Industry Connection, it dawned on them that they could help bridge the gap between students and the industry themselves. Thus, 840 West was born. The label strives to provide student musicians with the same resources traditional record labels would, like marketing, business and legal advice, and even organizing music videos and concerts. Follow along to hear Cadie and Allana’s journey of growing their team from two people to 50+ in just two years, as well as how their own music careers inspired them to help budding artists like themselves.

In the second perSPECtive episode of the season, Mitchell Morrison, a USC junior studying Business and Block Chain, joins Chloe to discuss his business CarbonLink Inc. and the principles behind investing in carbon offsets. For many, business and biowaste are like a foreign language; they are confusing and complicated realms of jargon. However, Mitchell simplifies these concepts by creating an enticing and educational space with Chloe as he explains the process of carbon offsetting and how CarbonLink Inc. exactly works. Mitchell further breaks down the positive implications of this growing industry, such as its effects on climate change and the creation of financial incentives to support the environment. From pitching the product to sorting out legal logistics, Mitchell also reflects on the rollercoaster ride that is being an entrepreneur.

Claire dives into every aspect of being an influencer while simultaneously being a college student, from the business side of social media, such as brand deals and the TikTok algorithm, to prioritizing mental health and her true passions. In the season finale of perSPECtive, Chloe sits down with the men behind Museum. It was started by these five best friends inviting peers for over for Sunday night dinners. Slowly but surely word got around USC, and they started to make things official by taking reservations, having custom menus, and turning their dinner parties into something more by providing an experience. So far they have served about 1112 guests providing them with a night to remember in which attendees are encouraged to engage in interesting conversation and of course enjoy delicious food and beverages. Through this episode, Fardad, David, Trey, Taylor (and Jack) reflect on how Museum was created and reminisce on the fun times they have had along the way. PerSPECtive listeners also get exclusive insights about the future of Museum since they are all graduating seniors.

These two motivated entrepreneurs also discuss their long-term goals and their plan of action for taking Rancho to the next level.
