This week I am joined by Claire Hunt, who is a writer and educator with an educational background in foreign languages and journalism and 30 years of professional experience working in letters, and she was bullied throughout all of it. Workplace bullying is a pandemic that is destroying the lives of millions of people all over the world, with astronomical psychological, emotional, health-related, and financial costs to targets, organisations, and even society at large. The ultimate result of workplace bullying can be fatal. Even if you feel you and your loved ones have not personally experienced workplace bullying, it is a matter that ultimately affects us all, and it is all so unnecessary. Claire is the international expert on workplace bullying. She has a YouTube channel with over 150 videos about workplace bullying and over 3,000 subscribers. She also has a 117-page essay about workplace bullying that is on her writing portfolio on her professional website. She provides remote individual consulting for targets of workplace bullying all over the world. This interview is dynamic and full of information that is not available to the lay person who has never experienced it or is dealing with it for the first time. This week I am joined by Sally Brown who is an artist, curator and writer. Her artwork including drawing, painting and performance, explores womanhood, motherhood and the body. She has exhibited her work in spaces nationally and in the UK. She has won two awards for illustration for Intimates and Fools and Leaves of Absence, both with poetry by Laura Madeline Wiseman. She has participated in artist residencies in Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Buenos Aires. Her writing has been published in Hyperallergic, Women's Art Journal and Artslant, among others. She has curated group shows in Omaha, Nashville, Pittsburgh and Morgantown. She has been awarded several grants for her artistic and scholarly work, and presented at multiple national arts conferences. She holds a Bachelor of Arts-Studio Art, a Master of Public Administration and Master of Arts- Art History and Feminist Theory. She is a former member of the College Art Association National Committee on Women in the Arts, edited the online journal Les Femmes Folles, and currently serves as Exhibits Coordinator for West Virginia University Libraries and art editor for Thimble Literary Magazine. This week I am joined by the talented Author Leif Gregersen who supports and educates others about mental illness. Leif has a fascinating story and he joins me today for a very candid and honest discussion about his life as he uses his own experiences having been in psychiatric hospitals and diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder, bipolar disorder and anxiety, to help others to understand what they might be going through, how and when to seek help, how medication can help, and how to manage your daily life. Leif also explains that mental illness is not a death sentence, you can get help and many people learn to manage and lead active lives. Leif has done extensive research into his diagnosis and mental health, and we are very privileged to have him on the show today to share his experiences. This week I am joined by M.K. (Kathy) McDaniel, the author of the memoir, “Misfit In Hell to Heaven Expat”. While dying from lung failure in 1999, she was placed on a ventilator and put into a drug-induced coma. A Distressing Near-Death Experience occurred and, although mostly traumatic, she also experienced the overwhelming bliss of Heaven which shifted her religious beliefs to a deep spirituality. Kathy credits the members of IANDS (International Assn. for Near-Death Studies) for her eventual integration of the Distressing NDE, and the ability to accept the sacred mission that caused her reluctant return to Earth. This week I am joined by Sophia Demas as we discuss miracles and coincidences. Sophia has enjoyed three diverse careers: a decade in architecture that included working with the visionary Dr. R. Buckminster Fuller, ten years running her own couture fashion design business, and after returning to school to earn a master’s degree in counselling psychology at age fifty, became a mental health therapist. I am joined by renowned author Betty J Kovacs whose books ‘The Miracle of Death: There is Nothing But Light ‘and ‘the Consciousness That Is Changing the World’ have won awards in the scientific field. She served many years as Program Chair on the Board of Directors of the Jung Society of Claremont in California and sits on the Academic Board of Forever Family Foundation. Within a 3-year time span she experienced the deaths of her mother, her son, and her husband in separate automobile accidents. Whilst she had studied shamanism before her son’s accident, she and her husband experienced their son’s consciousness after his death for an extended period. Betty joins me to discuss consciousness and our concept of what this means, how we can begin to expand our consciousness, the difference between belief and experiencing, and how dreams can assist you with opening to expand your consciousness.
