For today’s episode, we’re talking about the fear of visibility. When we think about the long list of potential dream killers, this one is near the top. There are so many people, including myself, who stopped short of pursing their goals because they feared judgement. With systemic problems, unhealed trauma, and personal insecurities, putting yourself out there to dream bigger is a major act of courage. The good news is you’re not alone. There are plenty of other people who also dare to go higher and need a community of like-minded individuals to help them get through it too. So today, on episode three of our part series, Coach Shaquan and I will continue the discussion on the lessons we’ve learned about business. We’ll talk about what we’ve learned about visibility and exposure. We’ll share what we did well and what we did poorly. Our hope is to help someone else along this journey.
As for my guest, Coach Shaquan is a Certified Relationship Coach. She is an author and Speaker. Coach Shaquan is someone who cares very deeply about authentic connections. Today's episode is about pivoting with a purpose. Coach Shaquan and I are continuing our conversation about our business journey. We're talking about the decision to push or pivot and how it has impacted where we are today and how we see ourselves. From my perspective, you don't necessarily quit or give up, you make a decision to push, or you make a decision to pivot. Both of these decisions are about GRIT. If you're going to push, then you have good reason to stay on the path that you’re on.
If you're going to pivot, then you have good reason to do something that is smarter, more purpose-filled and towards your destiny. The truth is, we push or pivot all the time as we go through life's journey. The best part about all of it is that we are constantly learning.
Here's three important lessons from this episode:
How to recalibrate your goals in life by following your inner purpose and passion How to determine if you are seeking a passion project or a business How investing in yourself (education and personal growth) can significantly impact your next stepsLink mentioned in this episode:
