Being all in means committing to yourself and to your healing – no matter what!
It means making your healing your number one priority regardless of what else is going on in your life.
It means - Choose healing, prioritizing it !
Choose to heal and commit to that – make healing a project that you dedicate yourself to, not something that you dip you toe into occasionally. Make it your work!!!!
This doesn’t necessarily mean you have to ‘stop’ everything else that you may be doing, but it does involve making your healing the most important priority in your life.
It means that no matter what healing modality you have chosen, you commit to playing a role to be your own healer as well.
If you give your healing only 20% effort, 20% of your focus you can’t expect 100% results.
It’s like studying - only 20% of the course work for an exam and expecting to get a distinction. (Healing is more like getting a degree – it’s many exams over a long period of time.)
Focus on your healing as if your life depends on it because it does!
‘No matter what’ includes:
· Investing time, energy, money and other resources in your healing – this may mean having to give up other things or asking your spouse to care for the kids etc.
· It means going all in and doing the hard yards. Change does not happen in our comfort zones.
· Choose to focus on your healing despite your doubts and fears (not suppressing those doubts and fears).
· Committing to helping yourself to be your own healer rather than just giving your healing over to a Dr or drug treatment. (RRM survivors, each one of them took complete control over their own healing even if they did work with Drs, didn’t just listen to the authorities, worked alongside the authorities to help themselves heal).
· Taking a holistic view of healing. Healing is not a one size fits all and unique for each person. Healing is multifaceted. Where does your healing lie? This doesn’t mean you don’t work with a Dr or do a treatment, but what it does mean is that you also do the “work” from the inside out, play a role in your own healing.
· Don’t rush into a healing modality as Loretta always says. Fear means we dive into doing what XYZ Dr/Homeopath or our family say. Take a little time to dig into your intuition to see where YOUR healing path lies.
· It is going to mean that you make your own choices and choose your own path to healing even if those you care about disapprove of your choices. Don’t let anyone try to force what they believe you should do onto you. Refuse be swayed by them.
· Accessing your intuition to choose your healing path. May need help doing this.
· Have a true vision for your health and a vision for what you want in your life beyond your health – the ‘why’ behind why you would love to be healthy. Why do you want to live? The why doesn’t have to be about what you’re going to do but can also be about what type of person you would love to be in the world, how you will feel ...
· Take stock of your life, all areas of your life.
· Consider why you got sick, not to blame yourself but to look for a route of healing. Take stock of your life. Look at and reassess all areas of your life – where may things be out of balance – work, family, eating, exercise, relationships.
· Finding your authentic voice, who you really are and what your true needs and values are (may need to give up the idea of who you think you are, for example the person who doesn’t/shouldn’t get sick).
· Take away the things in your life that take up time, energy and resource
· Getting the right help
· Exercising your courage muscle, your commitment muscle.
What is really important
· Learning to connect to what you’d love to create in your life in terms of your health but also in terms of your relationships, service, money, career, influence/friendships etc.
Finding and connecting to what you really love in life. This part can be very difficult and take time. We all have a heart that is longing to create what it loves. Another way of saying that is that we all have a spirit that is longing to express itself in a unique way through us.
Get to truly know yourself
· Unconscious beliefs
· Stories you have about your life and experiences
· Your world view
· Your fears – conscious and unconscious
· How you speak to and about yourself and others
· Your thoughts, feelings and habits.
· This takes time and practice and above all requires compassionate self-awareness.
· Getting in touch with that part of you that is beyond your body and mind, that is eternal
· Connecting to what makes your heart/spirit soar
· Your relationship to the Divine/Universal Laws/Energy
· Your relationship to the earth, nature and all living things
· You may have to throw out ALL your belief systems as I had to and bring back what really is your truth, bring in new ones, or change your perspective on existing ones.
Why is ‘being all in’ difficult to do?
· Modern medical/healing paradigm and even alternative healing paradigm– focus on the physical and ‘fixing’ the disease condition rather than creating health. Also, often on one size fits all. The Dr/healer is the authority, and the patient has no “power” over his/her own healing.
· Must swim against the stream often – go against what Drs, naturopath, friends, family, society say.
· Fear of failure and/or being laughed at, criticized for our choices or going against the popular social norms. We don’t want to fail or be rejected for our choices. Swimming against the flow is difficult, but this is the place where extraordinary things happen.
· Wanting the disease to ‘go away’ or wanting to ‘fix’ what’s wrong without understanding the message/gift in the disease and what it’s trying to tell us.
· We want a quick fix and somebody else to solve our health problems.
· Not wanting to get out of our comfort zone. We want to heal, but we don’t want to pay the price. Usually because we’re scared that the price is going to be too ‘high’/difficult for us. We don’t want to give up things we love (sugar, wine) or have to do things that we don’t like (eat vegetables for example or feel our feelings or leave jobs or relationships or move).
· We don’t want to face the grief of not having the health that we have lost. We don’t want to face the truth of where we are right now because it’s painful for us. The gap between our reality and what we would love seems so big that we’d rather avoid the pain of facing that.
· Fighting, trying to conquer the disease or putting all your energy into being ‘strong’ or ‘positive’.
· We don’t want to do the “work”, we have been programmed and socialized that there are quick fixes. Not just allopathic but self-help and spiritual world. You must do “the work” if you’re all in, this takes time, effort, commitment and at times discomfort. Change/healing is not comfortable and takes effort.
· Pathways wired into our brain from childhood based on what worked when we were kids. We have to build new pathways, forge a new pathway in jungle of the brain. It’s hard to create new habits. Takes time and struggle.
· Fear of ‘what we might find about ourselves that we won’t like’ or of ‘digging’ up the past trauma or even changing our perspective of the past.
· Not staying curious/open. Thinking we know it all and don’t need to do the work. We ignore working on the things we think we’ve already done or already know.
A few tips for being ‘all in’
· Make your healing your primary goal, a project, your work.
· Find YOUR path to healing and throw everything you have at it. Know that the path to healing is not linear.
· Don’t give your power away, you are more powerful than you know.
· Choose boldness and don’t be afraid to swim upstream.
· Get to know yourself. Audit your life – your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, world view, stories about your past etc. I had to throw all my beliefs out …
· Figure where your Bliss lies, your best life -not anybody else’s or what healers or you tube says. Anita Moorjani said- Not everyone has to stop eating cake, some have to accept that eating a slice of delicious cake on the beachfront occasionally is where their joy lies
· Stay curious – don’t ever think you know.
· Get help – professional healing help, books, podcasts, therapy, coaching, doctors, healers etc.
· But also have to be brave enough and vulnerable enough to ask for help. Get your friend to look after kinds or ask for a lift to the hospital if you were single like me.
· It also requires saying YES more !!! To receiving help, to allowing what really inspires you, but first we have to figure that out – this can take time.
· Not feeling bad about looking after ourselves and saying what we need.
· Make space for solitude, time in nature, contemplation, nurture supportive relationships, and be part of a community.

Healing is about uncovering the hidden blocks that hinder us from moving toward what we want.
Healing is to change a pattern that is unwanted into a pattern that is wanted. This usually entails changing it for the better into the opposite pattern.
But change isn’t as straightforward as Point A to Point B.
It is very common that when people begin to heal something, they pendulum swing to the opposite extreme.
Here’s the pattern: You find yourself in an undesirable state. You realize that there’s a problem: something’s broken, and you want to fix it. But in fixing it, you often over-correct.
When we first decide to move away from what we don’t want and pursue what we think we want, it starts the swing.
The swinging between extremes can seem alarming, disorientating and scary but can help us find a new centre, a new balance, a new position which we wouldn’t have found had we not gone to the extremes first. Both extremes have something to offer, and when integrate them we get positive change.
After all, when we are swinging between extremes, we are exploring new ideas. We have a chance to listen to and consider a different perspective and to integrate the best of both sides, to come away with an expanded viewpoint and to find a new place to settle.
We need to be aware of the following :
1. The swing to the opposite can become unhealthy if we stay there too long and slip into the dysfunction that can exist on the opposite side of the scale.
2. If the pendulum swing is a dramatic reaction instead of a deliberately chosen response it can lead to problems.
But even if 1 or 2 do happen, the good news is that you can learn from anything that you do.
A person who does swing the pendulum will eventually feel the reality of the cause and effect (and therefore consequences) associated with that new extreme. And it will eventually cause them to alter their patterns more toward their actual healthy state of being.
But you can prevent the time this takes and the damage this can create both to you and to others by being aware of this typical pendulum swing of healing and by consciously discerning what genuine healing and genuine positive pattern change would look like instead.
This is what we discuss in this Episode. Loretta and Antoinette both give examples of how this has played out in their own lives.

Some examples of pendulum swinging :
· Let’s imagine that a person is hurt by someone else. They experience the pain of being connected to and dependent on someone else. This person may begin to heal and swing the pendulum all the way over to disconnecting from others and becoming totally independent. Because of this, they slip into the illusion that it is possible to be separate and not depend on anything or anyone. They push people way. Deep down, they know they are very, very alone. They behave in ways that harm others because they are not genuinely connected to them. But because they are disconnected, they don’t even realize it. They and others will suffer from that new dysfunctional extreme.
Another example is let’s imagine a person who is addicted. They use addiction to avoid some pain within themselves that they cannot seem to resolve. They are in a perpetual state of “runaway” relative to themselves. This person might hear about shadow work and suddenly feel like there might be a way to solve their pain. This person may begin to heal and swing the pendulum all the way over to obsessively doing difficult shadow work processes all the time. This runs their nervous system into the ground, making their mental, emotional and physical bodies raw, being unable to effectively integrate and process and apply what they gain awareness of. And effectively giving themselves the damaging message that something is wrong with them and must be fixed immediately. Shadow work then becomes a different form of self-abuse. Because of this, they and others around them will suffer from that new dysfunctional extreme.
We offer the following tools/insights to avoid over corrections and find balance :
Regular Self-Check-Ins: Assess physical, emotional, and mental state daily. Identify areas out of sync. Notice pendulums in your life. Mindful Adjustments: Make small, conscious adjustments based on your self-check-ins. This could involve changes to your routine, boundaries, or exploring new interests. Compassionate Reframing: View imbalance as a natural part of life and an opportunity to learn and grow. Ask yourself: "What can I learn from this?" Embrace Curiosity: Stay open to new experiences and let curiosity guide you towards learning and development. Identify your unique energy swings and harness them. Can you see moments where you have swung from one extreme to another and landed in a better place? Forget the idea of a fixed balance and acknowledge that our experiences, emotions, and interactions are constantly in flux. This shift in perspective encourages us to become more attuned to the signals from our mind, body, and environment. By listening to these internal cues, we can adjust on the go, fostering continuous growth. Acceptance fosters a sense of curiosity, a crucial tool for navigating these evolving needs. Curiosity allows us to explore new experiences and adjust our actions or thoughts to find what brings us back into a state of balance within the ever-shifting landscape of our lives. Embracing a pendulum lifestyle helps us to trust the process more. Trust the pendulum's rhythm, embrace change and the evolving pendulum. Understanding that swings are natural, and part of our growth allows us to let go of the need for constant stability. We learn to ride the waves, knowing that each swing is part of a larger pattern that contributes to our overall development and our ongoing pursuit of balance.Link to Tribe Sober group mentioned :

You cannot create health until you can be honest about your current reality.
In fact, we can’t create anything until we are 100% real (with compassionate awareness) about exactly where we are at and what is TRULY going on RIGHT now !
This means we cannot bypass, deny or avoid the painful truth of our situation – ALL of our situation.
Acceptance requires the courage to permit the negative to inform our understanding without it defining our approach to the future.
It is the balance between full acceptance of where we are at (sick) but holding the vision of where we want to be (healthy).
This journey requires us to have full insight and acceptance of our internal state and our role in this without blaming ourselves.
It also requires reflection and acceptance of our outside world – our relationships, our jobs, how we live in the world and how this might need to change in order to help ourselves heal.

The answer is neither a simple yes or no. It is futile to reduce the cause of cancer or any other illness to a single origin.
BUT while we cannot say that any personality type causes cancer, certain personality features definitely increase the risk because they are more likely to generate psychological stress.
PNI and other research has shown that emotional experiences can be translated into potential damage in our bodies.
Repression (pushing down feelings for example), being unable to say no and lack of awareness of one's anger, for example, make it much more likely that a person will find themselves in situations where emotions are unexpressed, needs are ignored, and gentleness is exploited.
These situations are stress inducing, whether or not we are aware of it and repeated and multiplied over the years, this has the potential of harming the balance in our bodies and immune system.
So - It is stress-not personality per say-that undermines our bodies physiological balance and immune defences, predisposing us to disease or reducing our resistance to it.
Physiological stress, the stress on the body then, is the link between personality traits and disease.
Much of what we call personality is not actually a fixed set of traits, only coping mechanisms acquired in childhood, habitual defence mechanisms, a response to our external environment unconsciously adopted to keep us safe.
Certain traits-otherwise known as coping styles-magnify the risk for illness by increasing the likelihood of chronic stress.
People often identify with these habituated patterns, believing them to be an indispensable part of their personality.

Allergies are a broad topic, so we focus in this Episode on skin type allergies, BUT this information applies to ALL allergies. The basic underlying tenents are the same.
What we offer in this Episode is a road map, not a definitive answer. A map that guides and gives you a place to start from.
Allergies are hypersensitivity reactions - to any number of things – something your body sees as an enemy and your immune system completely overreacts to. The body overreacts to something that isn’t normally a problem.
When addressing allergies a mistake we can make is to focus solely on the physical and not look at the mental, emotional and energetic. We absolutely can’t by-pass the body, but we also can’t by-pass the mind and emotions.
Loretta takes a detailed look in this Episode at allergies from an organ energetics, psychological and spiritual perspective. This information is invaluable and not usually easily attained in a summary such as in this Episode.
She talks through all the organs and energetics involved in an allergy reaction and how you can to use this information to help yourself heal.
Signs and symptoms are feedback, they are not random or a punishment, but rather a message from our bodies that something needs to be changed, integrated or healed.
The message can be really scary, even terrifying if we have allergies that go anaphylactic. But “terrifying” can drive you to get to the source, to the bottom of it, especially if Doctors can’t find anything wrong with you. If we are prepared to listen to the message it will guide you as to what to do next and the first steps to take.
We also cover :
· - There is no one size fits all treatment plan.
· - How the intuition will guide the next step but why we can’t or don’t successfully access and use it to heal because of unknown resistance. Resistance is discussed in detail.
· - There is no avoiding the parts that are really uncomfortable if we want to heal.

When we get sick our bodies are giving us feedback, a message that something is out of kilter and needs to change.
This could be the food we eat, the lifetsyle we lead, a toxic relationship or any number of things and actually its never just one thing. Healing is multifaceted.
Also, often the feedback from the body is an indication that something is playing out unconsciously. If it is unconcious, we will consciously not know about it, but our bodies are sending us a message about this.
In this Episode we talk through an Energy Retrieval Process as a way to uncover unconscious triggers from past trauma and how this helps us heal physically.
We need to integrate ALL of ourselves in order to heal, so those parts of ourselves left behind in the past or a trauma need to be brought back and integrated.
When we have a trauma that impacts us mentally, emotionally, and spiritually we leave a portion of our energy in the event. If this is the case any therapies or processes we engage in to heal ourselves, will not be the whole picture if we do not bring back this energy from the past.
Antoinette, co-host of this podcast, had been suffering from an allergic reaction for quite a long time. At times it goes anaphylactic. So of course, she knew that her body is sending a message that something is out of kilter. She applied all the knowledge and tools that we put out to help herself heal this, but the allergy continued. This is because she only managed to get to the unconscious trigger once Loretta did an Energy Retrieval Process with her to bring back the part of her energy that was left behind in two past traumas.
This might sound very way out to many people. Antoinette was quite sceptical herself, but Loretta has seen amazing results in her practice when using this process to help her clients physically heal. So, Antoinette decided to let Loretta take her through this process.
The result was astounding !
We talk through all of this in this Episode. We share Antoinette’s Energy Retrieval Process and how it unveiled the unconscious trauma triggers from the past. Antoinette also shares how this positively assisted her in a BIG way.
What we talk through here not only applies to allergies, but it is also relevant to any immune related illness like autoimmune, cancer, diabetes, to name a few.
This undoubtedly could be a missing link in your healing.

Illness not only has a history, but it tells a history. It is a culmination of a lifelong history of struggle for self .
Mind and spirit can survive grievous physical injury, but repeatedly we see that the physical body begins to succumb when psychic integrity and freedom are jeopardised .
In the final analysis, disease is a boundary question.
When we look at the research that predicts who is likely to get ill, we will find that the people at greatest risk are those who have experienced the most severe boundary invasions before they were able to construct an autonomous sense of self. )Autonomy is the development of an internal centre of control).

In this Episode Loretta and I discuss in detail what is meant by boundaries and why, by and large, humans struggle to set and maintain boundaries.
We then relate this to getting sick and helping ourselves heal. Most importantly we discuss how the immune confusion that leads to disease reflects a failure to distinguish self from non-self, healing has to involve establishing or reclaiming the boundaries of an autonomous self.

Healing is multifaceted and different for everybody. That is why it is so important to be able to access and use our intuition in order to play a role in our own healing.
Also, if we do not access our intuition to guide us on our healing path, we are at the mercy of other people telling us what to do.
In this Episode Loretta and I discuss :
- How to know the difference between intuition and ego. They can easily be confused. Reality is trickier than we realise.
- Intuition is the non-obvious and does not happen in a way that we would expect it to. It is seemingly contradictory to common sense. If we want to hone our intuition we need to keep rethinking the obvious route.
- Following intuition is the emotionally difficult thing to do and requires us to accept psychological stress.
- In order to access intuition, we need to rewire our brain away from the route we normally take. It requires a leap outside of our normal perceptive.
- Intuition shows the way step by step.
We provide many real-life examples of the application of this to healing ourselves.

Dr Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, stated that “before we treat patients with medication, we first must remove the obstacles to cure”.
When we get sick, often our go to response is to get a diagnosis and a treatment plan – like medication or surgery. We don’t examine where the obstacles to cure may lie.
These obstacles can be physical, mental (conscious and unconscious), relational (relationships) or environmental. We discuss these in detail.
The information and insight is relevant to all “diseases” but in this Episode we apply it to Type 2 Diabetes as an example.
We examine the reasons why we do not address these obstacles to cure even when we do know what they are.
We also emphasize the importance of knowing that there’s no ‘one size fits all’ diet, treatment protocol, coaching tool, technique or therapy that will work the same for everyone.
BUT, when there are obvious obstacles, these need to be removed for healing to happen.

Are you using positivity in a way that doesn’t serve you ?
Is it a coping mechanism or avoidance strategy which you use to sidestep situations that make you feel emotionally uncomfortable?
Are you pushing down, suppressing or discounting/denying difficult emotions?

Ep 17 : Recognising and allowing anger
Anger has become stigmatised and is probably the most unrecognised or bypassed feeling.
But as we said in last Episode :
· Anger causes stress in our bodies.
· Anger arises to tell us that our limits are being overstepped or our needs are not being met.
So, it is important to be more attentive to anger. To to feel it and appropriately and safely process it.
If you know how it is possible to move it out of your body.
We cannot go straight to doing something in our body however, it starts with self-awareness and witnessing ourselves. From there we can make embodied choices to intentionally heal it.
It is about not reaching for whatever it is that numb or soothes it over (alcohol, drugs, eating etc) but rather creating a safe space, a container to feel it and safely deal with it.

· How to become aware of anger and how to safely allow it.
· Creating a safe container for anger with nervous system regulation.
· Alexander Technique – a simple but powerful tool to calm the nervous system.
· A few very simple tools to safely release anger.

The topic of anger is big, complex and often raises questions and objections. It can also become a confusing paradox.
Repression of anger predisposes us to disease and the experience of anger has been shown to promote healing or at least to prolong survival.
When anger is disarmed so is the immune system, but when the aggressive energy of anger is diverted inwards the immune system becomes confused, our physiological defences no longer protect us or may even turn mutinous attacking the body.
The unregulated release of anger however, such as explosion, fury and rage are not only inappropriate and harmful to the recipients of it but can also be deadly to the one who rages. In general, high blood pressure and heart disease are more likely to happen in people who openly display hostility.
Appropriately and safely acknowledging, feeling & expressing anger is important to our health and healing. That is what this Episode is about.
