Many people have ambitions of getting to "where the money resides!" However, a lot of people lack the knowledge of how to get there.
On this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with one of my childhood friends, Gabbi Rodgers, on money mindset and the value of financial literacy. Gabbi is the founder of Abundant Living Financial Wellness Services Inc. where she provides a holisitic approach to helping people become better with their personal finances in hopes of achieving abundance in all areas of their life.
If you would like to get in contact with Gabbi, email her at [email protected] or checkout her Instagram and Facebook at @weareabundantliving.

I’m pretty sure we all would like to get to where the money resides. However, have you ever thought about where your purpose resides? Your purpose likely lives outside of your current comfort zone. You may be thinking, “how do I get out of my comfort zone?” Well, well, well. I got the perfect episode for you!
On this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Ademusoyo Awosika-Olumo. She is another friend of mine who was in Pitt Excel with me. She is the CEO of Creatic Ventures, a Senior Software Engineer, a Notion ambassador, one of the co-creators of Mac Scientists, and many more achievements/roles that I could fill this page with. We had a great talk on what it looks like to live with no limits and operate beyond your comfort zone.

What makes a great leader? Well, I’ll tell you it’s definitely not just someone that knows how to give commands. Leaders come in all different flavors but the great ones are empathetic, confident, accountable, strategic, and decisive. Enjoy this discussion with my good friend, Joy Frazier, on what it looks like to be a great leader.

I've heard the phrase, "I'm going to be a little selfish and take care of myself" way too much. Why? Because, it is not selfish to take care of yourself! We have to change the way we think about self care and realize it is a necessity and should be a part of our every day lives. Tune in to this minisode to hear what I have to say about this.

Exploring the world can sound like an amazing endeavor to some and a scary one to others. Nonetheless, I believe that beyond just seeing beautiful sights, eating decadent foods, and speaking other languages, going to a different country can open your mind to understanding different ways of living that you may have never experienced before. I've grown a lot from being able to be immersed in different cultures and believe it's necessary for everyone to see what a world beyond the environment they've been raised in is like.
Enjoy this discussion I have with my good friend, Gaby, on our experiences traveling through multiple countries and what we've learned from our international adventures.

There are billions of people all through out the world. While we were all born as individual human beings, we didn't come into this world alone. We were born into families and, as we grew older, we began to build relationships with friends. These were our first exposures to community, a group of people you were tied to based around a core belief, objective, or identity. My good friend, Christine, and I talked about our experiences with community on this episode and a plethora of knowledge was shared in our discussion.

COVID has affected each person all over the world in some way. We hear on the news about the people who’ve caught COVID, the businesses hurt by it, and the urgent need for vaccines. However, we rarely hear about how the healthcare workers who have to treat those diagnosed with the coronavirus are feeling and how they’ve been impacted.
On this episode, I brought in one of my close friends, Alexis Paules, who is also a registered nurse, that has worked most of her nursing career during the pandemic. She shared her experience and insight on taking care of people who’ve been diagnosed with COVID. Hearing her stories, you can’t help but think nurses and doctors are some of the many heroes during this time in history.

Even though therapy has been becoming more popular and widely accepted, it is still taboo in certain cultures. Growing up, therapy seemed like something you only needed to go to if you felt like you were losing your mind and saw no way out. Now that I've actually started going to therapy since mid-November of last year, I've found it to be very helpful and welcoming for people who just need some feedback and guidance in an area they may be struggling in.
During this episode, I bring back my good friend, Jonathan Hightower, to discuss our experiences in therapy and how we've grown because of it.

Nowadays, it is difficult to live life in the current moment. Social media, large ambitions, and a lot of comparison can cause us to live outside of where we are. We see what other people are doing and aspire to be like them or we can focus on everything we are not and feel depressed. What I've come to learn in the past months is life is a culmination of moments that we must live in each step of the way. Instead of having our minds stuck in the past, the future, or where someone else is, it is important to be right where your feet are.

It's hard sometimes to be yourself but imagine how it feels to try and be something you're not to appease other people. Sounds like a rough life if you ask me. Have you ever had beef with somebody? I'm not talking about filet mignon. I'm talking about real struggles and hardships with somebody else. Well, my Dad and I had some issues throughout my teenage years and eventually into college. A lot of pain and resentment happened throughout those years but one night on a Christmas break back from college, we had a three hour conversation that helped my Dad and I squash our beef. Listen to this episode to hear how that conversation went from both perspectives and how we've been able to grow our relationship to a place where it is currently restored and renewed.

A lot of times when we're going through challenging times in life, it becomes challenging for us to see ourselves on the other side of our situation. Meaning, we don't see ourselves in the success that would result if we didn't give up or give in. Please don't make your struggle go in vain. Get a reward for withstanding the pressure and enduring with perseverance. You've survived all of your worst days, what's another obstacle to a beast like you?

There is a world of possibilities of who you can be. Sometimes, there will be people, including yourself, who will try to convince you that you can not be everything you were created to be. Don't allow someone's narrow mindedness keep you from achieving the totality of your life. What you want to do is not only possible, but it's past possible. Not only can you accomplish what you want to pursue, you can succeed at a high level.
