In this episode, Jillian and Vrajesh Prajapati, Solutions Architect at AWS, discuss the importance of establishing a resiliency baseline for applications. They cover the three pillars of resiliency: disaster recovery, high availability, and continuous improvement. Vrajesh introduces the AWS Resiliency Lifecycle Framework, which consists of five stages: set objectives, design and implement, pre-deployment and post-deployment activities, operations, and response and learning. They also discuss different disaster recovery architecture patterns, such as backups and restores, pilot light, warm standby, and multi-site active-active. The conversation concludes with a discussion on monitoring resiliency and the importance of incident analysis and correction of errors.
