This is a massive episode because the opening of Bluey's World in the Brisbane riverside suburb of Hamilton has been massive!
We were lucky enough to attend the official opening of Bluey's world, alongside all of the cast and crew of Bluey, as well as the creatives who have brought the interactive experience to (for) real life.
Lou also caught up with Mary and Kate from the Gotta Be Done podcast on the first day Bluey's World was open to the public, and their podcast record was joined by Andrew Kay.
Andrew is the producer of Bluey's World, and is also the producer of Bluey's Big Play: The Stage Show.

Brisbane's iconic CityCats (named so as they are a catamaran) carry locals and visitors up and down the Brisbane River everyday. You've seen the CityCats in the Bluey episodes Spy Game and Ice Cream (and also in our pod artwork).
To celebrate the opening of Bluey's World this week, 2 of the Brisbane CityCats have been transformed into City Dogs, with Bluey and Bingo now sailing up and down the Brisbane River.
A few years ago we spoke to a Brisbane mum who had been petitioning the council to create CityDogs following the devastating Brisbane floods of 2022.
Even though they've been created for a different reason, we cought up with Madonna Stephens to gauge her reaction to the CityDogs!
We also hear from Brisbane Lord Mayor, Adrian Schrinner, as well as Kate O'Conner who is the Director of Brands and Commercial for BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand.

The third Bluey album 'Rug Island' is out now and to celebrate we sat down with Daniel O'Brien who is part of the Bluey music team.
'Rug Island' is themed around play, imagination, adventure and friendship so it was only appropriate the Rug Island became the title track - an episode that sums up all of those ideas.
In this episode we take a dive into the album, and find out more about how the Bluey music team works together.
Dan is a Brisbane based composer whose main focus is music for the screen, but who also writes for choirs and orchestras.
You can stream 'Rug Island' on Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you listen to your music, or you can visit your favourite record store to pick up the album on orange vinyl!
In Australia, JB Hi-Fi is carrying both the orange vinyl and special edition picture disc.

There's been a ton of Bluey related stuff in the news recently - from the news that Bluey is now the number one show in the US, from Kelly Clarkson giving her entire audience a trip to Brisbane to visit Bluey's world - even the news that American Express named Brisbane as one of their trending travel locations for 2025.
Much of the growth of the show has been driven by adult Bluey fans, many of whom don't even have kids!
How has a (supposedly) show for kids resonated so well with grown ups?
Sarina Petersen will be one of the speakers at the upcoming TEDxQUT event on October 27th.
Sarina is a student of Law and Behavioural Science (Psychology) at QUT and works as part of the in-house legal team of one of Queensland’s largest not-for-profit organisations. She is most interested in social psychology and human behaviour - particularly, the way that these interact and influence one another.
Sarina is a fond viewer of the Brisbane-produced cartoon Bluey and is enthusiastic about analysing its enormous worldwide appeal and cultural impact - particularly its impact on adults.

The Bluey 28 minute special 'The Sign' was everything we hoped it would be; plot twists, a wedding, some great Brisbane locations and a heap of gags for the grown ups.
To celebrate 'The Sign' we spoke to Meg Washington, voice of Bluey's teacher Calypso. Meg is also featured in the special with her song 'Lazarus Drug' bringing the episode to its epic crescendo.
Meg is one of Brisbane's favourite singer songwriters and most versatile vocalists, and has just recently completed a run of shows with Australian symphony orchestras.
Check out the Bluey x Meg Washington music video for 'Lazarus Drug'.
You can also listen to the original version of 'Lazarus Drug' from the album 'Batflowers'.
Follow Meg on Instagram to keep up to date with news, release and tour dates.
One of our favourite articles about 'The Sign' was the piece that Mary Bolling from the Gotta Be Done podcast wrote for the ABC.
Massive props to Brendan from The Hammerbarn Project podcast, who snagged a voice role in 'The Sign'.

It was the cliffhanger that has left Bluey fans shocked and with a ton of questions.
In the episode Ghost Basket, which aired globally on the weekend, it was revealed that the Heelers have put their heritage Queenslander on the market.
In classic Bluey style though, the very next day a listing appeared on the Domain website for the Heeler house, describing it as a 'quaint, animated family home'.
"“Illustrated lovingly at the end of a cul-de-sac, this house sits atop a hill with views of Mount Coot-tha. This 3 bedroom, 4 (ish) bathroom home boasts of work from home spaces, lovely period floorboards and mysterious hallways that don’t logically seem to join spaces together but always feel cohesive and purposeful. Perfect for endless play and games with the family.”
Ludo Studio said in a statement: “Bluey’s home is where our story begins and we’re excited to share next week if it’s where our story ends. The Heeler’s home is another character that we love and care about as much as The Heeler’s themselves."
To find out if it's a good time to sell in Brisbane, and what kind of price tag the Heeler home would fetch, we spoke to Von Barnes of Pinnacle Properties, based in Brisbane's inner north-west.
So all will be revealed this weekend with the feature length, 28 minute episode 'The Sign', which airs at 8am on ABC Kids and ABC iview in Australia, Sunday April 14.
'The Sign' also will be available to view globally on Disney+.

We've been fascinated by the success of Bluey in the United States - how did a show about talking dogs from Brisbane become one of the most viewed shows in the US?
Kyle Thompson got in touch with us after he met Dave McCormack (Bandit) and Melanie Zanetti (Chilli) at the Twin Cities Con.
Ahead of the very first global Bluey release dates, and Bluey's feature length episode The Sign, we thought we'd sit down with Kyle to find out more about what our American friends think about the juggernaut from down under!

To celebrate five years of Bluey on Australian TV, the ABC has been running Blueyfest, which will culminate on November 19th, with a countdown of the top 100 Bluey episodes.
The order of the top 100 will be decided by fan votes, with ABC Kids having asked all of us to vote for our top 5 episodes.
The ABC also decked out a retro ice cream van in full Bluey kit, and drove it from Sydney to Brisbane, stopping at towns along the way and culminating at the South Bank Parklands in Brisbane, home of the episode Ice Cream.
So we grabbed the card table, and wound our way down to record a podcast ep at South Bank, right near the van!
In this edition of Bluey's Brisbane, we run through what we voted for as our respective top 5's of Bluey.
Click here to find out more about the Blueyfest countdown on November 19th.

In the space of five years, Bluey has gone from a new kid on the animation block, to being lauded as one of the greatest ever shows on TV.
Aside from the critical acclaim, Bluey has set new viewing records both in Australia and in the USA, and has picked up a swag of awards including an Emmy, a BAFTA Award, Logie Awards....and the list goes on.

David's credits include Dance Mode, Flat Pack, Dad Baby, Hammerbarn, Bingo, Army and more, and he sat down to talk about the early years of Bluey, what the role of editor entails in an animation series, and just what goes through your head when you are handed a script like Dad Baby!

It's that time of year when the fierce rivalry between Queensland and New South Wales comes to a head with the annual State of Origin rugby league series.
You'd know Dan Brumm's voice - he plays Uncle Stripe on Bluey, but he's also been the show's sound designer across all three seasons.
With the Queensland Maroons taking on the New South Wales Blues tonight, Dan sat down for a chat about how the game of rugby league was depicted in Bluey.

It's almost peak Bluey season at the moment, with new episodes starting to air in Australia, a new album only days away, and the release of Bluey's first ever music video.
Jazz D'Arcy is a member of the Bluey music team who has worked on the music for episodes like Born Yesterday, Family Meeting, Pass the Parcel and Copycat.
But it's on the episode Rain that Jazz's work really shines, composing the score for the almost dialogue free episode, as well as a vocal version - Rain (Boldly in the Pretend).
The vocal version has just been released as Bluey's first ever music video ahead of the brand's second album Dance Mode, which releases on April 21st.
To celebrate all the things Justin sat down with Jazz in the Bluey music studio to chat Dance Mode, the music video, new Bluey episodes and more.
Bluey: Dance Mode is available on April 21, with first single Dance Mode and latest single Rain (Boldly in the Pretend) both available to stream now.
If you’re a vinyl lover, a special edition of the new Bluey album will be available exclusively for Record Store Day 2023 (April 22) as a zoetrope vinyl picture disc.
The zoetrope effect will be featured on side A of the vinyl and will show the Heeler family dancing along to brand new tracks such as “The BeeeeeOOP Walk“, “Chatterbox” and “Lollipop Yum Yum Yum!“, when viewed via a stroboscope app.
