This week, Trevor conducts a solo review, of Bren Foster's, Life After Fighting (2024)!
Written, directed by, and starring Australian actor/martial artist, Bren Foster, Life After Fighting (2024) is a surprisingly dark and well-acted drama about child trafficking, that also happens to feature 40 minutes of top notch martial arts choreography.
Feeling like an attempted launchpad into the coveted realm of “action star” status for writer/director/star Bren Foster, Life After Fighting serves as a fine showcase of his talents, albeit one that is perhaps a half hour too long, and perhaps not the appropriate subject matter to pair with his flashy (and sharply executed) brand of fight choreography.

This week, Kyle and Trevor get back to basics and review Les Mayfield's, Encino Man (1992)!
An early Pauly Short vehicle featuring Brendan Fraser in his first starring role, Encino Man (1992) is totally tubular, light-hearted 90's cheese.
Shockingly enough, this was a first time watch for Trevor.

This May is “Summer Camp Edition” at Catching Up On Cinema!
All month long, Kyle and Trevor will be reviewing summer camp themed movies.
This week, Kyle and Trevor review Nancy Meyers', The Parent Trap (1998)!
A remake of the beloved 1961 Disney rom-com of the same name, The Parent Trap (1998) served as the directorial debut of writer/producer Nancy Meyers, as well as the feature film debut of actress, Lindsay Lohan.
Bookended by camping sequences, both at a summer camp, and roughing it in the great outdoors, The Parent Trap is an terrific family comedy that is bolstered by exceptional production values, and a delightful cast affable performers.

WARNING! THIS EPISODE CONTAINSMINOR SPOILERS FOR DUNE: PART TWO (2024) WARNING!

This May is “Summer Camp Edition” at Catching Up On Cinema!
All month long, Kyle and Trevor will be reviewing summer camp themed movies.
This week, we pull double duty and review both Tom McLoughlin's, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986), AND Denis Villeneuve's, Dune: Part Two (2024)!
The sixth entry in the classic slasher franchise, Tom McLoughlin's, Friday the 13thPart VI: Jason Lives (1986) represents a major transition point in the series.
Featuring the return of Jason Voorhees (after his disappointing absence in Part V), the introduction of supernatural elements to the Voorhees lore, and a campier, more playful tone, Part VI is often regarded as one of the more creative and memorable sequels in the franchise.
Denis Villeneuve's, Dune: Part Two (2024) is the epic sequel to the director's previous Dune: Part One (2021), with both films comprising the events of Frank Herbert's legendary sci-fi novel.
While by no means a “summer camp” film, Kyle found himself too bored by Friday the 13th Part VI to devote an entire podcast to, so throughout the episode he and Trevor occasionally pivot to discussing/reviewing Dune: Part Two.

All month long, Kyle and Trevor will be reviewing summer camp themed movies.
This week, Trevor talks about Stephen Brill's, Heavyweights (1995)!
A personal favorite kid power/live-action Disney movie of Trevor's, Heavyweights (1995), is weak on morals, but big on laughs.

All month long, Kyle and Trevor will be reviewing summer camp themed movies.
To kick things off, Kyleintroduces Trevor to Jonathan Prince's, Camp Nowhere (1994)!
A beloved, but somewhat underseen Disney “kid power” camp film from the mid-90's, CampNowhere (1994) is a surprisingly clever kid friendly heist/farce that happens to be a childhood favorite of Kyle's.

All month long we'll be reviewing WWF/WWE shows from 1998, The Attitude Era.
This week, to close out ourmonth of pro-wrestling related content, Kyle and Trevor sit down to review Darren Aronofsky's, The Wrestler (2008)!
Starring Mickey Rourke as an aging pro-wrestler, and Marisa Tomei as a stripper looking for a way out, the film is a thoughtful and gripping human drama that is highly respectful of the art of pro-wrestling.

This week, we're joined by Richie of the Super Media Brospodcast and gonstFM radio station, as we finally sit down to review the second half of the No Way Out of Texas: In Your House pay-per-view!
A haphazardly constructed card that suffers greatly from the absence of then WWF world heavyweight champion, Shawn Michaels, the second half of No Way Out of Texas is a bit of a letdown, but a chaotic and consummately Attitude Era one nonetheless.
Matches featured in this week's discussion include:
Ken Shamrock, Ahmed Johnson and DOA vs. The Nation of DominationKane vs. Vader
Stone Cold Steve Austin, Owen Hart, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie vs. HHH, The New Age Outlaws, and Savio Vega

The “go home” Raw before the Now Way Out of Texaspay-per-view, the episode is once again rife with shenanigans and inconclusive finishes, but features several entertaining promosdesigned to set the stage for the pay-per-view to come, and perhaps more importantly, Mike Tyson's involvement in Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin's upcoming clash at Wrestlemania XIV
