In this series, we're looking at different encounters individual people had with Jesus and how their lives were changed from that conversation. In this sermon, Pastor Jon looks at the conversation that Jesus has with the Pharisee Nicodemus, where he talks about being born again by the Spirit and then shares the gospel with him: that God loved the world by sending His Son, so that if you believe in Him, you would not perish, but you would have everlasting life.

What are we looking forward to? We can have things in life on the horizon that we are anticipating, but are we looking forward to a day that will change the world forever? In 2 Peter 3, Peter writes about the coming of the Lord and the day that He brings the earth into judgment. In 1 Peter 5, Peter gives the renowned instruction to "cast all of your anxieties on him because he cares for you." As followers of Jesus, when we read that text, do we internalize what that means and how we approach God with all of the chaos and conflict that can surround us and fill us? We cast our anxieties, our worries, and our concerns onto the Great Shepherd because he deeply cares for us
