Happy International Podcast Day! This has been an exciting few weeks celebrating my 100th episode, sharing the recent podcast mini-series about global leadership communication, and launching a new live training, Become a Global Leader.
And to end the celebrations, I decided to create a very different episode for you today. Rather than me or a guest expert sharing their ideas, strategies and tips, I asked you what you wanted to know about improving your leadership communication, speaking like a leader and developing your cultural intelligence.
I received many great questions and I chose this fantastic one from Lynne in Japan as this is something I am often asked about: What are the key ingredients to achieving success across cultures?
What you will learn in this episode:
The human connection factor It starts with us- how culture shapes who we are, what we believe and what’s the right way to do things. Understand your behavioural preferences and how they influence your motivations and drivers for communication and interaction. Look with fresh eyes. Press the pause button. Get curious and ask questions. See similarities and differences, not ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. Go deeper than awareness with cultural intelligence. CQ Strategy: plan what you will do differently. CQ Action: choose where you will adapt to create the connection. If you missed the free live training last week, Become a Global Leader, message me on LinkedIn with the word ‘Become’ and I’ll send the replay to you- it’s available until 4th October 2024 only.
In celebration of the 100th episode, I have created a very special Podcast offer for my 1:1 VIP Global Leader Communication programme. Trust yourself to speak: learnings from my journey
Do you trust yourself to speak?
I am going to share openly here that I realised a few months ago I was not fully and completely trusting myself. I was living in my speaking and communication comfort zone.
Podcasts, videos, interviewing, giving talks with presentations, all with preparation and planning.
However, speaking fully spontaneously and allowing myself to speak freely did not happen often.
That is one of the reasons why I decided to start these lives to build my self-trust. That’s when I decided nothing was stopping me.
In this week’s live I share with you my learnings and how to build your own self-trust so you can speak up confidently in your own situations that you feel uncomfortable in today. Allow yourself the freedom to speak and achieve your goals.
