We all need to eat to sustain our physical bodies. What is necessary for the natural is also necessary for the spiritual. As Christians, we need to feed ourselves to have the strength to live to the honor and glory of God. God Himself provides this food—none other than Jesus Christ, as He is foreshadowed in the manna, the food of the people of Israel in the wilderness.

The first letter to the Thessalonians is written to a very young group of believers. They didn't know the Lord Jesus for a long time. Nonetheless, they had a very vivid Christian life - one that was purpose-oriented.
The Apostle Paul could give them a very good testimony:
We read about "works of faith", "labor of love" and "enduring constancy in hope".
We see that they have become imitators, examples, and witnesses.
Most of all they had turned from idols to serve the true and living God. Conversion was not a means by itself to them, but was connected with a purpose:
- serving God
- and to await His son!
This series is about 1. Thessalonians and has five episodes:
1. Introduction
2. Verses 1+2 - The salutation of the Apostel Paul
3. Verses 3-5 - faith, love and hope
4. Verses 6-8 - imitators, examples and witnesses
5. Verses 9+10 - true conversion and a purposeful life -

Yes, I know, the word "Trinity" does not exist in the Bible! However, the idea behind it does! And that's what I want to show in this episode. Understanding the Trinity is important. Otherwise, this will have a huge impact on whether we will or will not understand the Gospel.

God has - all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ - justified. That means that He has declared them to be just. He sees them as though they have never sinned. That is their new position as before God. Hence, there are wonderful results.
We have already seen that we have peace towards God.
In this episode, we are going to see two more results of justification:
- we have access to His favour in which we stand
- we boast in the hope of the glory of God. -
"All scripture in inspired of God, and profitable..." (2.Tim 3:16). But how can we read the Bible and make it profitable? Here are 12 practical tips...

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1.2)
In this episode, we are going to deal with the first result of justification: peace with God!

God has not only forgiven us all our sins - He has even justified us. What that means we want to see in this episode.
-
es, you have repented, and, yes, you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and have confessed your sins. And yet the feeling creeps upon you that God has not forgiven ALL of your sins.
What if only those up to your conversion have been forgiven but not those you committed ever since?
What if only those sins get forgiven that you have actually confessed?
Questions over questions! Let’s get some biblical answers! -
God refers to himself as the "God of forgiveness"! He delights in forgiving sinful men! In this episode, we will take a deeper look into the whole topic of forgiveness!

Satan is a deceiver from the beginning on. He wants to destroy our trust in God. He wants to deceive us about the goodness of God. Like in the garden Eden, so he does today. And that has fatal consequences if we don't pay any attention.
God is good. What He gives is good. If it's not good, He won't give it to us.
"Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
(James 1:16.17)
